We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Danny Bader. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Danny below.
Alright, Danny thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. If you had a defining moment that you feel really changed the trajectory of your career, we’d love to hear the story and details.
I was 28 and working as a bartender and roofer–just trying to “find myself.” I had graduated college and had a sales job which was not fulfilling. One day, my friend who owned the roofing business and I were lowering a ladder which touched an overhead electric line with about 8.000 volts running through it. We were both electrocuted and died…only I came back to life after about 6 minutes or so. We lost my friend–a wonderful husband, father, brother and man. After a 10-day hospital stay, I went home and slid into a dark place of sadness, despair and self-destruction. Thankfully, my family, friends and faith in God supported me in getting through those times, and back from “just living” and going through the motions of life to being “fully alive” and engaged in life with a vision and purpose. I’ve come to understand that while the breaths we take and the beats of our heart are automatic–they are not guaranteed, and we must not live as though they are. We must always do the work needed on this wonderful journey called LIFE to be getting all you want out of life (fulfillment) and to build a support network, and focus and trust we can move through the struggles and challenges of life (resilience)—because we can.

Danny , love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
Ever since the accident, I’ve been on a path to creating fulfillment and resilience in my life and have moved into supporting people on that same journey.
I’ve been blessed to work with thousands of people and organizations teaching and supporting them through a lifestyle I call the Back To Life Blueprint®—a methodology based on 5 simple and powerful principles. After my accident, I realized people grow and evolve in life either out of tragedy…or curiosity. At that time in my life, tragedy drove me to grow and figure out principles to support my journey. I encourage you to not wait for tragedy, just wake each day with the curiosity to grow. The Back To Life Blueprint® principles are: DEVELOP VISION–BE STILL–KNOW THYSELF–SEEK (&BE) SUPPORT–EVOLVE
Each day you wake up, you come back to life. You’re wise to continually ask and answer these two questions: What are you creating in your own life, in your teams, your family? And second, How are you going about this? This HOW is built on the principles you practice daily.

What do you think helped you build your reputation within your market?
I think as you build your brand–whether individual or business–you must remain authentic and clear on your values. Your actions must always be consistent with your values and your customers/clients should see this. You should have a clear message as to what value you provide, or what pain and problems you can support your customers in eliminating from their lives. You know this is happening when the feedback from your clients is consistent. Here are a few which I was humbled to receive:
“The wisdom and insight provided in Danny’s books allow one to reflect, think, and perhaps make a few positive changes in their own lives.”
“I’m certain that Danny will impact my vision & outlook for the rest of my life. We are doing the work because we want to squeeze the best out of life & have the tools to work through life’s challenges as well.”

Do you think you’d choose a different profession or specialty if you were starting now?
No, I would have just chosen it earlier. I’ve always had the intuition, the feeling, I was here to learn and then offer this learning to others to support them on this journey and plant seeds of inspiration, fulfillment and resilience. I absolutely love doing this through my keynotes, workshops, and podcast. I’ve come to know that when we have a strong feeling about a choice in life–we should pay attention to this feeling. Your human Spirit is hardly human, I believe it comes from a divine source, and it wants to lead us to what is best for us and our family & friends.
