We recently connected with Danielle Rosado and have shared our conversation below.
Danielle, thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. Let’s talk legacy – what sort of legacy do you hope to build?
The legacy I am hoping to leave behind is that by teaching astrology, mothers will be able to relate to their children better, partners will understand their purposes in each other lives that will help them grow, and business owners will feel clear, confident, and in flow when they implement their big ideas in the exact timing they were destined to according to the astrological cycles and how it impacts their birth chart.
Danielle, before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?
I have been a practicing astrologer for 5 years and a Spiritual Business Coach for 3 years. I got into my astrology practice through dark nights of the soul, wondering “why” so many karmic events were happening all at the same time. Listening to astrologers found on YouTube such as The Leo King speak about the current astrological events was the only thing that made sense to me at the time. Even though I wasn’t able to fully comprehend the lingo, it felt like a language I was destined to understand. At first, I started off by learning about the moon and how to utilize the different moon phases such as setting intentions for the next 6 months on the new moon and releasing any limiting beliefs that can block you from achieving those goals on the full moon. I loved learning about how the zodiac signs would be expressed and how it accurately described what I’m growing through. This twice a month practice gave me a sense of hope and direction, which became a huge piece of my healing journey during a time of deep grief and feeling lost. Little did I know, teaching others this practice would become the foundation of how I started my full time astrology business. Then, I took it a step further and learned the moon shifts signs every 2 1/2 days (not just twice a month) which helped me reflect on astrology and how it’s relating to my world on a daily basis. So, with this life changing perspective, I’ve been able to help my clients feel more confident and in flow with their actions based on how the planets influence different focus areas of their life (also known as the 12 houses of their birth chart).
As a Pisces Sun, Leo Rising, & Leo Moon, my magic sauce is activating leaders to feel unshakably confident in who they are and what their soul’s purpose is by channeling the unique business model and strategy that works best for them according to their birth chart’s placements. I specialize in helping online business owners launch their projects by giving them their luckiest, most aligned days of the month to work with through 1:1 consulting and mentorship. I also teach astrology workshops and host a monthly membership for the enthusiasts who love to learn how to read birth charts and set goals with it. Plus, I offer compatibility readings, which is perfect for couples, parent/child, and business partnerships to understand the karmic purpose of their relationship and helps them work in synergy with one another.
The thing I am most proud of is how much I healed myself by gaining awareness of patterns that no longer served me, learning how to meet my emotional needs, and forgiving my past by shifting out of victim consciousness because I understood “why” events happened based on how the planets were relating to my chart at the time. Astrology has helped me to unconditionally love and accept all of me, activate my strengths and alchemize my insecurities into power.
We’d love to hear the story of how you built up your social media audience?
Building my online presence with social media as a business owner started off with a 30 days truth challenge. Everyday, for 30 days, I committed to telling a personal truth, so that my audience can begin to learn who I am and what I stand for. I used this as an opportunity to get as deep as possible, talking about my journey through the lens of different “topics”, but also creating engagement with my audience to see if anyone related to my story. I did this by adding a “CTA” (call to action) at the end of every caption, asking them to comment or DM me a specific emoji or word below if they have a similar thing that happened to them or if they’re desiring support. It worked like a charm. I was able to cultivate amazing relationships right from the start because I was being vulnerable and sharing my story from a place of personal power. Then, I began creating shareable content, such as reels, tik toks, and astrology updates on graphics with my handle @alignwithdanielle on it, so that people would look my name up and begin to follow me. I also collaborate with other entrepreneurs and go live with them on instagram/ Facebook or record podcast episode to share audiences. That way, I become more visible to people I may have never met before. If I’m not invited by them, I offer invitations out for anyone who is interested, because I love to treat my social media as if I am showing up to a party with my friends. It gets to be fun! If there’s any advice I’d give to someone building their social media presence, it’s to be yourself and don’t get so caught up in all the latest trends. Stick with your zone of genius. Don’t force yourself to dance on reels if dancing is not your thing. Don’t force yourself to write long form content if you don’t like writing. You are an artist and your platform is an open canvas. Trust me, the right people are paying attention and they’ll tell all their friends!
How about pivoting – can you share the story of a time you’ve had to pivot?
I feel like my entire entrepreneurial journey has been one large pivot. At first, it started with my energy healing and coaching business, before I became a full time astrologer. I loved teaching and giving reiki, helping clients balance and master their energy through meditation, mindset, breath and body work practices. It was working really well until I began to feel a lot of resistance to creating content and selling services for it. It felt like writer’s block, but worst, because my bills being paid were depending on it. Applying so much pressure to my creative work really put a damper on enjoying it. I started to feel like I had to do it or I was a failure. Whenever I get in these ruts, I must take time away from it in order to tune back into my inner voice, rather than challenging myself to work harder or to “do more”. Surrendering to control is the hardest thing to do but the moment I create the space to practice what I preach and balance my own energy through my breath and movement practices, I am usually met with “letting go” of a service or pivoting the way I am delivering the content or prioritizing it because a new service is being birthed through me. During the time I was being asked to let go of my energy healing business, I asked myself what is my next divine creation? This is when spirit led me back to a journal entry I wrote months prior, planning to talk more about astrology and less about reiki. I knew it was the right move to make when I got nervous about it in an excited way. That was when I asked my audience what they love to learn about when they’re on my page and a majority of them said astrology! I think you know what happened next.
