Danielle, thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today What do you think it takes to be successful?
To be successful, I believe you have to be willing to make sacrifices that others aren’t willing to make and push past your comfort zone. When I started my company, I was a newly single mom of four. I had to create a way to provide financially while also being present for my children. I quickly learned that success would require me to step up in ways I hadn’t before.
One of the biggest lessons for me was understanding that you have to be willing to give up not just your time or resources, but also your limiting beliefs. For a long time, I held onto the idea that I could only do so much, and that I was limited by my situation. But once I let go of those beliefs and started focusing on what I could accomplish, things started to change.
I remember one of the first big decisions I made was investing in my own development, despite being on a tight budget. I realized that if I wanted to grow, I had to be willing to take calculated risks and make investments in myself and my business, even if it felt uncomfortable or uncertain.
Success, to me, is about not shying away from these sacrifices—whether that’s your time, comfort, or old beliefs. It’s about being relentless in your pursuit and having the courage to step into the unknown, knowing it’s necessary to build the life and business you envision.

Danielle, before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?
I’m Danielle Rizzo, a Business Growth Strategist and Accountability Coach. I got into this line of work through my own life experiences. After going through a divorce, I found myself a single mom of four, needing to support my family while also being present for my children. Building my business was my way of taking control of my future and redefining what success looked like for me—and it’s this experience that shaped my passion for helping others do the same.
Through my company, Marielle Agency, I provide consulting and coaching services focused on strategic growth, goal-setting, and accountability. My goal is to help mid-level business owners, entrepreneurs, and professionals reach new levels of success with intention and clarity. I understand the unique challenges that come with trying to balance ambition and personal commitments because I’ve been through it myself. I use this perspective to empower my clients to break through plateaus and pursue growth that’s not only financially rewarding but sustainable and aligned with their lives.

What do you think helped you build your reputation within your market?
Building my reputation has been deeply rooted in my commitment to my community and my active involvement in local initiatives. I believe that being truly connected to the people and businesses around me is one of the most powerful ways to make an impact, and this has guided much of my work in and out of Marielle Agency.
One of the key ways I’ve established myself is through my role as co-chair of the Women in Business Committee. This position has allowed me to support spaces for female entrepreneurs and professionals to connect, share resources, and grow. Supporting and empowering women in the business world is incredibly important to me, and I love being able to bring my experience and insight to this community. I’ve also been fortunate to serve on the Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors, which has not only allowed me to expand my network but has also given me the opportunity to help shape initiatives that support the local business ecosystem.
Beyond these formal roles, I make it a point to show up consistently at networking events and community gatherings. Building relationships face-to-face, having meaningful conversations, and understanding the unique needs of local business owners have all been essential. When people see you showing up and genuinely caring about their successes, it creates trust—and that trust is the foundation of a strong reputation.
Through this involvement, I’ve had the privilege of learning from some amazing leaders and sharing my own expertise in strategic growth, accountability, and business development. I approach each opportunity to engage with the community as a way to offer value, whether that’s sharing insights, volunteering, or even simply listening to the challenges others face. This genuine engagement has helped me build not just a reputation but real connections with those around me.

How do you keep in touch with clients and foster brand loyalty?
Keeping in touch with clients and fostering brand loyalty is all about authenticity. I believe that people connect with people—not just services or skillsets—so I make a conscious effort to show up as my full self in my interactions with clients. This means being open about my journey, sharing the wins and the struggles, and letting them see the real person behind Marielle Agency.
One way I do this is by regularly sharing personal stories that remind clients why I’m passionate about this work. They know I’ve faced setbacks and hard times, just like anyone else. Sharing these experiences builds trust and reminds them that I genuinely understand their challenges and goals on a personal level.
Beyond just telling my story, I make sure to keep the lines of communication open with clients through various touchpoints. Whether it’s checking in to see how they’re doing, sending personalized messages, or hosting follow-up sessions to discuss their progress, I aim to stay connected in ways that feel meaningful, not transactional. I also create spaces, like my social media and community groups, where I can share valuable insights, motivational messages, and real talk about the ups and downs of business and life.
Clients also see my authenticity in my willingness to celebrate their victories and to be honest when things aren’t going as planned. When they know they’re getting the real me—whether that’s celebrating their latest win or working through a rough patch—they’re more likely to feel a sense of connection and loyalty.
Ultimately, I believe that loyalty isn’t just about providing a service; it’s about creating a relationship.
