Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Danielle Olson. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Alright, Danielle thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. So let’s jump to your mission – what’s the backstory behind how you developed the mission that drives your brand?
Our mission story at Wonderfully Western is honestly providing all the western beauties clothes that make them feel like themselves. Growing up I was raised very southern but lived very city. I didn’t have cows in my backyard but my neighbor did, I grew up in a well off foster family and always had everything I ever needed. But I never felt like myself. At school kids would be really mean and say derogatory remarks to a point where I stopped wearing bell bottoms and boots. Since then I promised myself and my future children that I’ll never let anyone else make me feel any type of way for expressing myself in healthy ways that bring me joy.

Danielle, before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?
Hi I’m Dani, I’m the ceo founder and creator of Wonderfully Western. Wonderfully Western started on my friends couch in November of 2022. I had just left a very serious relationship, been let go from probably the best job I had ever had, and had been couch hopping with friends. I was so lost, had no idea how I was going to do anything. I had no job, no relationship, and a newly totaled car. I knew something needed to change and I didn’t want to go back to a 9-5 or more realistically getting cat called behind a bar for the next 30 years of my life. I had heard of dropshipping and print on demand and many other ways of making online cash. I decided it was my time to just dive in. The boutique became an obsession, the first week I didn’t put my laptop down. Between branding and finding items to put into the store I couldn’t stop. I had so many ideas and dreams for the shop. The goal for Wonderfully Western is to eventually generate enough revenue that I can be with the people I love doing what I love 80% of the time. Right now, however, the goal is to just really get our name out there. We have a huge selection of clothes accessories shoes jewelry & of course everything is western themed.
Where do you think you get most of your clients from?
Honestly the best source of getting the brand out there is social media. I use a lot of Facebook ads and they generate typically 1-2k page viewers. That is the only ad program I pay for however I post to all of our social media accounts daily.

What’s a lesson you had to unlearn and what’s the backstory?
I think believing that I can do it without a big turn out at first. My foster family would’ve been so easy to tell me to stop or give up or go get a real job. Now granted a “real job” is perspective. If the boutique was generating a six figure salary they would be ecstatic telling me how I’m so good at what I do and praising the shop. However just starting out that isn’t realistic and as a result would deter them completely. Not me, I desperately want the boutique to be huge one day, I just think I realize it’s going to take a lot more work than they’re willing to put in in their own endeavors.
