We recently connected with Danielle Mayers and have shared our conversation below.
Alright, Danielle thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. Is there a lesson you learned in school that’s stuck with you and has meaningfully impacted your journey?
I was sitting in a classroom at Broward College, my sophomore year, maybe it was a morning or afternoon session, perhaps the air in the room was thick with anticipation as students filed in, each with their own expectations of what business knowledge they’d gain that day. But This wasn’t your typical textbook session. The instructor wasn’t just reading from slides or lecturing from a prepared script; he was sharing real-world wisdom, stories, lessons, insights that you wouldn’t find in the pages of any textbook. His energy, his approach, the way he connected with the material it grabbed my attention right away.
He was talking about Limited Liability Companies (LLCs), but he wasn’t just listing facts. He was explaining why they mattered, how they offered protection for entrepreneurs, and the nuances of why they were often the best choice for small businesses. You could feel the difference in his teaching style. It wasn’t just academic it was practical. It was like he was handing you the keys to a treasure chest that most people don’t even know exists.
As he spoke about business ideas, it wasn’t all about traditional routes, he emphasized the importance of identifying niches, the power of creativity, and how the right business structure could shield you from personal risk. He didn’t just talk about big corporations or franchises but gave real-life examples of individuals who’d started small, perhaps with an LLC, and had built substantial businesses over time.
The lessons weren’t just about theory, either. He told stories, real stories, about entrepreneurs who learned the hard way, those who had been burned by not understanding the legal structures, or who had fallen victim to poor business planning. He wasn’t shy about talking about failure, either. It was clear that he believed failure wasn’t the end, but a stepping stone to something greater.
But the biggest takeaway was his emphasis on information that wasn’t in textbooks the unspoken things that would make or break a business. How to protect assets, the importance of legal structure, tax implications, the need to know when to pivot and when to push forward. It wasn’t just about starting a business it was about building a business, one that could stand the test of time.
As I sat there, in the middle row, listening intently, something clicked. I could see how this kind of knowledge and things that weren’t being taught in other classes, or that I might only pick up years down the road, could truly shape the trajectory of my entrepreneurial journey. That lesson along with others, and the way the teacher delivered it, sparked something in me. It got my creativity jumping and opened up a new kind of understanding of how the world of business worked beyond the theoretical knowledge most people have. At that time I could almost imagine myself applying this knowledge someday, starting a business, building it up, protecting my assets, making informed decisions with an LLC structure, and creating something meaningful and sustainable.
And that stuck with me. It wasn’t just classroom knowledge; it was practical, real-world advice that would later influence the way I approach business, making me more prepared and equipped to handle the challenges ahead. It wasn’t the standard “go out and start a business” advice, it was about thinking strategically, understanding risk, and being deliberate with how I set up my ventures.
In a nutshell, the lesson and many others stuck with me because it was so different from the traditional, dry, textbook approach. It wasn’t just about theory, it was about equipping students with tools and frameworks that would be critical in their journey as an entrepreneurs. That kind of knowledge, things that aren’t always immediately obvious but are so important to success, stayed with me and has likely guided many of my decisions since.

As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?
About Me
Hi, I’m Danielle, and I’ve found a way to combine my professional career in Human Resources with my entrepreneurial spirit to create a diverse and dynamic path that I’m truly passionate about. By day, I work in Talent Acquisition for a leading aerospace company, where I help connect top-tier talent with opportunities in one of the most innovative industries on the planet. It’s a fulfilling role where I get to make a real impact on people’s careers while playing a part in shaping the future of aerospace.
When I’m not diving into the world of HR, I wear a few other hats. I co-own a 360 Photo Booth rental business, where we provide unique and interactive photo experiences for events, parties, weddings, and corporate functions. It’s an exciting business that brings people together in a fun, memorable way while helping event organizers create lasting impressions. Additionally, I’m also a real estate agent, helping people find their dream homes and making the process as smooth and stress-free as possible. My work as a realtor combines my love for real estate with my ability to connect with people and understand their needs.
How I Got Into My Industry and Businesses:
My journey into HR and Talent Acquisition started with a deep interest in people, how to understand them, empower them, and help them find the right opportunities. I was always fascinated by what makes teams work, how individuals contribute to larger goals, and the ways that smart hiring decisions can have a ripple effect on an entire organization. After spending some time working in recruitment, I realized that this field gave me the perfect opportunity to make a direct impact while honing my skills in communication, problem-solving, and relationship building.
On the entrepreneurial side, my 360 Photo Booth business was born out of a love for creativity and a desire to offer something fresh to the event industry. I’ve always been someone who loves making moments unforgettable, and what better way to do that than through interactive, visually dynamic experiences like a 360 Photo Booth? Real estate came a bit later in my career. I’ve always had a passion for homes, architecture, and helping people make big life decisions, so stepping into real estate seemed like a natural extension of my skills in communication, negotiation, and relationship management. Plus it provides a stepping stone for most people to start building that generational wealth.
What I Provide & What Sets Me Apart
In my Talent Acquisition role, I provide high-touch, personalized recruitment services for candidates and hiring managers, ensuring that both parties not only meet each other’s needs but also align with a long-term vision for success. Whether it’s helping individuals find careers that truly inspire them or helping managers build high-performing teams, my focus is always on fostering strong, meaningful connections that lead to sustainable growth.
Through my 360 Photo Booth business, I provide a unique and exciting service that turns every event into an unforgettable experience. Whether it’s a wedding, corporate event, or private party, our 360 Photo Booth creates interactive video and photo content that guests can engage with, share, and cherish. What sets us apart is our attention to detail, the quality of our equipment, and our dedication to customer service, ensuring every event we’re part of becomes a standout memory for the host and guests alike.
As a realtor, I help clients navigate the complex world of buying and selling property with ease. From finding the perfect home to negotiating the best price, I offer support every step of the way. What makes me different as a realtor is my ability to understand both the emotional and financial aspects of the process, especially since I’ve gone through it myself. I’m here to make my clients feel confident and empowered throughout the entire journey, whether they’re a first-time homebuyer or experienced buyer/ investor.
The Problems I Solve

What I’m most proud of is the way each of my ventures allows me to make a tangible impact on people’s lives. Whether I’m helping someone land their dream job, capturing unforgettable moments at an event, or guiding someone to their new home, it’s incredibly fulfilling to know that the work I do touches people in a positive, meaningful way. I’m also proud of my ability to juggle these different roles while maintaining a high level of professionalism and dedication to every client and project I’m involved in.
What I Want Potential Clients and Followers to Know
First and foremost, I want potential clients and followers to know that I’m passionate about providing personalized, high-quality service in everything I do. Whether it’s recruiting top talent for an organization, helping create a one-of-a-kind experience for your event, or assisting you in finding the perfect property, I bring my heart, focus, and expertise to every project. I also want people to understand that my business is built on trust, integrity, and relationships. I take the time to listen to my clients, understand their needs, and then deliver results that exceed expectations. No matter the industry or the project, my goal is always to try to help others succeed and have fun while doing it!

Let’s talk about resilience next – do you have a story you can share with us?
A story that really illustrates my resilience comes from the early days of launching my 360 Photo Booth business. When I first started, one of the biggest challenges was simply getting clients. It felt like no matter how much I reached out or how much effort I put into marketing, the business wasn’t picking up the way I’d hoped. I knew I had something unique and valuable to offer, but getting people to see that was proving difficult.
After a few weeks of limited bookings, I realized I needed to do something bold to get my foot in the door. So, I decided to offer a free event attendance for a local business or organization, essentially, I’d provide my Photo Booth service at no charge, just to showcase the product and the level of service I could provide. My hope was that by doing this, I could generate some buzz and attract paying clients down the road.
That’s when the University of Central Florida (UCF) came into the picture. They took me up on the offer for a student event, and I was beyond determined to make it a success. I threw everything I had into that event, ensuring the Photo Booth was set up perfectly, the customer service was top-notch, and the experience was unforgettable. The event was a hit, and the response from the attendees was incredible. To my delight, UCF was so impressed with the quality and the energy we brought that they ended up booking with us again for future events.
That experience was a huge turning point it proved to me that sometimes you have to be creative and take risks to break through the initial barriers. It also showed me the power of persistence and of turning what might seem like a setback into an opportunity.
On top of that, juggling this side business with my full-time job in talent acquisition was definitely a challenge. There were late nights spent working on the business after long days at my corporate job, and at times, it felt like I was spread too thin. But my determination to make this business succeed kept me going. Every moment of struggle made me more committed to seeing it through, and ultimately, the hard work paid off as I started getting repeat bookings and building a loyal client base.
That hustle, that creative solution, and the resilience to push through even when things weren’t easy is what really shaped the growth of my business from its early days. It wasn’t just about having the right product, it was about thinking outside the box, being willing to give before getting, and sticking with it even when the road got tough.

Can you talk to us about how you funded your business?
To fund my business, I knew I had to be disciplined and strategic. I set a clear goal to save a specific amount of money each month, understanding that building the necessary capital wouldn’t happen overnight. By carefully budgeting and cutting back on non-essential expenses, I was able to consistently put money aside. I made sure to prioritize my savings, treating it like a non-negotiable expense rather than something I could do if there was extra cash at the end of the month. This discipline allowed me to gradually accumulate the funds needed to invest in my business, whether it was for purchasing equipment for my 360 photobooth or covering other startup costs. It wasn’t always easy, but the focus on saving a set amount every month helped me stay on track and gave me the financial foundation I needed to get my business off the ground.
