We recently connected with Danielle LaGrandier and have shared our conversation below.
Danielle, thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today So let’s jump to your mission – what’s the backstory behind how you developed the mission that drives your brand?
My mission is to bridge the gap between the clinical and spiritual practices regarding wellness. I strongly feel that the medical field has significant limitations in creating a realistic and holistic plan to serve a client’s overall needs. I believe that when we approach from a person-centered perspective, the outcome is greater and more effective.

As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?
I am a Queer, Eclectic Witch born and raised in the melting pot of Long Island, NY. Most would describe me as a free-spirited hippie, mixed with a “hood” side when I’m fired up.
I am a Cancer Sun & Moon with Scorpio rising. I am sensitive at my core, though I like to keep safe in my shell. This can make it tough for me to open up at times to connect, but I value genuine connections with others. My strengths include: patience, self-expression, nurturing and loyal. I strongly believe in protecting your energy and expressing yourself to be what I value most.
Most days you can find me with my partner and our daughter. We spend a lot of time outside or together listening to music. I enjoy live music as a form of self-care.
My influences include: spirituality, astrology, connecting with my Celtic roots and creating new pathways to wellness.
My chosen passion is a licensed psychotherapist specializing in creative arts therapy, mental health and addiction. I love teaching others how to confront and embrace the shadow parts of ourselves in order to heal and transform the way we view ourselves or the experiences that shape us.
I created my community to embody a true safe-space to explore self-care and achieve wellness through non-traditional and holistic methods of healing and spiritual growth.
My services may be right for someone looking to begin that path to wellness with a trusted peer, mentor and spiritual coach. I’ve been through my share of personal mental health struggles and found that traditional methods are not the only approach to healing.
I offer individual sessions with the use of astrology to develop a personalized self-care plan.
I also offer moon circles for women to enhance their knowledge of astrology and working with the lunar cycle as a means for improved balance and wellness.
My business also offers in-home community services such as: home energy cleansing, paint night events & more!
Let’s talk about resilience next – do you have a story you can share with us?
I find resiliency is difficult to acknowledge subjectively because it reinforces that our biggest strengths are born from the wrongs that have been done to us. Rather than reflecting on a single experience, I’d like to recognize that despite repeated traumas and challenges I’ve faced individually and in relationships, I can recognize my worth by setting and maintaining boundaries with those that make me question my worth.
I feel my resilience shows most when I can utilize my strengths to help someone else through those pivotal moments.

We often hear about learning lessons – but just as important is unlearning lessons. Have you ever had to unlearn a lesson?
“Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me.”
I had an many experiences in my life where my parents continuously made choices to not show up for me in the way I not only expected them to, but needed them to.
My father is an alcoholic who is better known for his consistent abandonment. My mother is a co-dependent victim that depends on others for validation. The two together are a toxic mess of behaviors that I learned from the environment I grew up in. One of which being co-dependency and the victim mentality.
It’s an easy perspective to cling onto because you become a victim of your circumstances and expect others to feel or understand your pain, but often get frustrated and bitter towards others when they don’t.
I was able to unlearn this through years of therapy and creating healthier relationships.
