Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Danielle Hamilton. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Danielle, thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today One of the things we most admire about small businesses is their ability to diverge from the corporate/industry standard. Is there something that you or your brand do that differs from the industry standard? We’d love to hear about it as well as any stories you might have that illustrate how or why this difference matters.
For sure! Most people hear ‘professional organizer’ and think my job is to make closets “Pinterest-worthy”. While most spaces I work in do turn out beautifully, that is definitely not my top priority.
Everyone I work with has a story, a reason behind why they called me. Sometimes it is as simple as wanting a Khloe Kardashian-esque pantry. But most of the time I am working with a deeper circumstance. An overwhelmed mom at the end of her rope, drowning in clutter with no idea where to start. A recent widow, too foggy with grief to start the process. A family that just moved from out of state, a businessman completely out of his element, a multigenerational family with baggage both literal and figurative. The list goes on.
I am focused on hearing the needs of my clients, beyond the surface. It’s important for them to know that I am here to serve them, not just to collect a check.

Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers
Well, if you don’t know already, my name is Danielle. I’m not a native Texan but I’ve been here for over a decade so i get to claim it now, right? I live here with my husband, two kids, and two dogs.
I started Awe and Order about 5 years ago after struggling to find a way to make enough money to pay for childcare while also still having enough time left in the day to spend with my family. I’ve always had a passion for organizing spaces but never realized that was something I could get paid to do.
Now, it’s become so much more than just an organization business. My heart goes into every job and every client’s story that I hear. It is truly a blessing and quite honestly a dream to be able to serve others by doing what I love.

Any stories or insights that might help us understand how you’ve built such a strong reputation?
1000% my clients. A large portion of my business comes from word of mouth referrals. Over the years, I have established some strong bonds and out of that, friendships, with a lot of my clients. It feels strange to even call some of them clients because at this point, “friend” would describe the relationship more accurately.
Are there any books, videos, essays or other resources that have significantly impacted your management and entrepreneurial thinking and philosophy?
I spend a lot of my time in the car, working, or “moving and shaking” so it’s not often that I get a moment to read a book. But, I discovered the world of podcasts and it has been a game changer! There are endless choices but a few of my favorites include: The Jordan Harbinger Show, Work Life with Adam Grant, Self Help(ful) with Kevin Miller, and The One You Feed.
