We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Danielle Curtis. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Danielle below.
Danielle, looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. Let’s jump right into how you came up with the idea?
I have always loved to write. Even as a small child, I would find myself writing (doodling) something on any piece of paper I could find. Writing has always been a release for me. It was a way to get confusing thoughts out of my head and gain some type of clarity. As I got older, I began to enjoy the experiences that travel provides and I have love to eat. People always seem to come me for advice and suggestions on where to take their next trip or what new restaurants they should try. So, I thought to myself, why not start a blog! It was still a way for me to release all of the craziness that lived rent free in my head as well as be an informative vessel on what people wanted the most. I began my blog with just life’s experiences and soon after, I incorporated my food and travel tips. I felt deep down inside this was something that I definitely should be doing because people always need help and advice when it comes to travel and who doesn’t like to try new foods (or not try the not so good ones).
DaniGirl Living has been very therapeutic and has also been an opener for the readers to share their experiences that normally wouldn’t be discussed.

As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?
I am Danielle, also known as Dani and DaniGirl. I started blogging as form of release. Writing has always been very therapeutic, so I decided to use it as a form of mental health care and also use it as a safe space for others to do the same. My blog has also allowed me to create an online store that contains items to help others that may be on self-care journeys, such as, journals and candles. I have had numerous people reach out to me to share how one of my blogs has helped them in some form or fashion. That fills my heart with joy because if I can encourage one person to continue and push through life’s trials and tribulations, then I know my blog is not done in vain.
In addition to my blog, I also work full time for a major airline. I am a mom, an entrepreneur, and a go-getter! I love to share my knowledge, but I love learning even more.
When not working, you can always find me at a new restaurant or in the friendly skies!

What do you find most rewarding about being a creative?
The most rewarding aspect is being able to have my blogs reach people who feel they often go unheard or are misunderstood. I love having someone tell me that they finally feel heard or felt like their thoughts were crazy until they read my blog. It brings me pleasure knowing that my blog is used as an open space for people to share not only their thoughts and concerns, but also their hurts and fears.
What do you think is the goal or mission that drives your creative journey?
One of my major goals is to be able to work with well-known brands and monetize on my blog so that I can take it to higher heights and reach more readers on a global level
