Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Danielle Clack. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Danielle, appreciate you joining us today. Can you talk to us about a risk you’ve taken – walk us through the story?
The biggest risk I’ve taken that has completely changed my life for the better is being open about my spiritual gifts. There is a stigma attached to words like psychic, medium and all of those other things.
I didn’t just run to telling people about my gifts. I did sort of a soft launch especially since I was still coming to terms of my gifts as well. It was all new to me and I didn’t have a foundation yet of my path and beliefs. I remember sitting down one day in my apartment after giving an extremely accurate reading to another friend. Everyone was supportive, skeptical, loving and trying to understand this “new” me. I wasn’t someone who was into astrology or numerology so all of this was new to everyone.
I decided I was going to start taking outside clients for readings and was going to do a Instagram post announcing my gift. My heart pounded so hard as I stared at the post waiting for my finger to hit “post”. I thought about all of the people that followed me from family that had certain beliefs, old classmates and friends. What would people think? Will they say I’m demonic? Would they just stop speaking to me?
I had to silence my thoughts because all I was doing was being a block for my next steps. At the end of the day, who cares? If someone doesn’t “believe” in my gifts or thinks I’m a horrible person than I can’t change that. I had to toss all of those worries out of my mind and just post it without any look back. After posting I decided to do one card pulls on my instagram story and a lot of people tapped in for a card pull!
With those readings it caused for me to have not only a deeper connection with some people I’ve known for a long time but it opened up their interest in ancestral work. By sharing that part of myself everything came together. The biggest risk I ever taken is still something that is changing my life til this day.
Take the leap of faith. Trust your intuition so you don’t think back to “what if”.
Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.
My name is Danielle Clack and I am a psychic medium. I currently have a business giving psychic and mediumship readings via channeling and playing cards. I started out my journey in 2019 after a traumatic life event of being laid off from my job. It was the first time I had to be in a position of going down the path of the unknown.
Even though I was going through a huge transition, bills didn’t care. I had to live temp job to temp job or app job to make ends meet. During this time though it made me open to twists and turns because I still found joy. I got to travel with friends, go to concerts and just go with the flow. This lead me to beginning ancestral work, during this time of uncertainty I was still mourning losses of family members. Starting my altar felt as if a missing puzzle piece was found, the first night I created it and lit it I sobbed.
My ancestral work has given me structure, guidance, love and care. During that time it helped me establish faith within myself as I navigated a year and a half of job search, disappointment and not being in control. Which is what lead me to today having my own business providing spiritual services. Accepting my gifts and not having any shame has opened so many doors for myself and what sets me apart is my life experience only so far and how I use that to assist my clients with their own healing. Which is why being accepting and open about my gifts is something that I’m most proud of. The love and acceptance I have for my full self is the foundation I’ve set for my business.
How did you build your audience on social media?
How I’ve built my audience so far on social media through content creation is creating things I’m most excited for. I love to do readings on a range of topics and one thing I have an interest in funny enough is reality shows. By doing prediction readings
My advice is consistency. There are so many people creating content and there is room for everyone but it is a lot of work and you have to stay consistent to maintain viewership. Even if it’s only 25 people, that is 25 people who are taking time out of their day to watch YOU and listen to YOU. Creating a schedule and being realistic with timing especially if you do not have a team. You are going to be the producer, talent, editor, sound person, set up and etc. so having time management skills is a must. It takes that one video sometimes to pop off but it’s good to have a history of being consistent with your work so it gives your audience other content to enjoy.
What’s worked well for you in terms of a source for new clients?
The best source of new clients for me is word of mouth and posting my predictions that come true online. The reason for this is because it gives potential new clients insight into my legitimacy which is vital for my business. By speaking with people they trust it gives new clients a push to book with me and this is the same when they watch my content and see the pattern of my predictions being accurate.
