We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Danielle Carter. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Danielle below.
Alright, Danielle thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. Let’s start with the story of your mission. What should we know?
I started Sketch Lite Photography & Art Studio LLC because I wanted to create an environment where disabled people could come and get services from someone who was just like them and understood what they go through. I wanted to stop the stigma that says disabled people can’t do things, because we can and will! My journey has evolved over time, and I’ve had some very memorable experiences while pursuing this mission. An example of this would be when my significant other offered to help me pursue this goal by going back to school and getting my Associate’s Degree in Business Administration in Arts as well as my Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Management, and now I am obtaining my Master’s Degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Management. This mission is meaningful to me because I am not just servicing one group but helping the general public to understand that I can be a voice for the disabled community and the general public to ensure everyone has a chance to connect with others and promote their businesses or graphic design, photography, logo design, or custom apparel to reach their goal in business endeavors, etc.
Danielle, before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?
About Me
My name is Danielle, and I am the CEO of Sketch Lite Photography & Art Studio LLC. My journey into this industry began with a personal mission: to create a space where disabled individuals could receive services from someone who truly understands their experiences. Being physically disabled myself, I wanted to challenge societal stigmas and show that disabled people can and will achieve great things.
How I Got Into the Industry
My passion for photography and custom apparel began as a hobby, which eventually grew into a desire to turn my creative skills into a business. With the unwavering support of my significant other, I pursued higher education in business administration, obtaining my associate’s, bachelor’s, and now working on my master’s degree. This educational journey equipped me with the knowledge and confidence to launch Sketch Lite and make my vision a reality.
