We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Danielle Brown a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.
Danielle , looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. Let’s kick things off with your mission – what is it and what’s the story behind why it’s your mission?
Before starting real estate my background was the salon I’ve been a salon owner for over 15 years now. And during the course of my time servicing clients I truly enjoy communicating with them making referrals on products that it should use that’s best for your hair or skin or whatever occurring condition they have going on in addition to that I also enjoy a small aspect of my job where it’s educating clients on how to take care of their hair better while you can in the correct products for their skin and giving them the history behind why doing these things are important and not just using any part of the year because it might be cheap. I wasn’t really bored of the salon but I knew I wanted to take my customer service skills and conversation skills to the next level and so I decided to get into real estate which will also another area where you get to communicate with clients it’s also a point where you get to educate people on why choosing a certain mortgage broker or even choosing a specific property based on location might be a better investment when trying to buy a property. I think real estate still gives me the the same excitement as in the salon but it’s just a different kind of excitement where your meeting clients and now instead of working in one location my job allows me to travel throughout Atlanta touring various homes, from a basic single family home to luxury homes that can host a party for hundreds of people. LOL. I also enjoy Real Estate because I’ve always enjoyed different architectural styles and also locations. But the teaching aspect of real estate that makes me really enjoy what I do. I love teaching people values and what makes a choice most important.

Danielle , love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
How I got into this industry was just a basic conversation I had with one of my clients who was real estate broker. We would talk about different kinds she would meet up with we will talk about the different homes she would take them to and qualifying them with the right Mortgage Company.
The services I provide for my clients I help them to secure real estate I help them to sell real estate in the case if you want to sell their homes I also provide listen for Real Estate whether it may be a single family home townhome or a condo but my main focus is helping them to invest in real estate.
Problems for my clients honestly I don’t think we have had much problems working with our clients but we may have had a few challenges where clients may be ready to purchase but they weren’t financially ready and so what I did I met with them I found out what was the price point they wanted to purchase the home at and I helped them to set a goal how much they need to save up in order to meet closing costs and I was able to pair them with a mortgage lender that could qualify them for a loan specific for their needs and were able to secure that property which was a new construction home they didn’t have to come up with a down payment all was necessary for them to close on the transaction was to pay closing costs by sitting down setting up a plan and helping them towards their goal has helped me not only to feel like I succeeded on help him them with their goals but helps me to see that once you have a plan in place whatever your goals are it can be achieved.
Honestly what I am most proud about is that even though I might be a wife I might be a mother I am able to balance work.also even being a business owner which is running two businessthe salon and real estate.I also help to run my husband’s consulting company and with doing all of those it can take a lot of time but I am truly happy I am able to balance all of that and still make time for myself and most importantly for my family.
From anyone who has ever worked with me in the past present and for all my future clients whether it might be in the salon or for securing real estate those who have worked with me can tell you I am very honest not rudely honest but educationally honest and if you ask my opinion I will give you my opinion so if it’s an opinion about if I think this home purchase makes sense or what I think about a particular hairstyle style you are getting a particular hair color is for you I will certainly give you my opinion but in giving you my opinion I will also give you a suggestion if the answer I may tell you might be not upy were planning on hearing, so I always come up with solutions for clients regardless of what the situation is it will always be educational and I think that’s what sets me apart some others.

We’d love to hear a story of resilience from your journey.
There’s so many stories I could share but I’ll just share one in particular. I was working with a young family newly married with young children and we were on the search for a home for this family it was their first home we literally looked at about 15 homes we had put offers in on about maybe 3 of those home and I could tell my clients were getting disappointed because some of the homes they had put offers in were ones they really loved and each time it didn’t work out I keep reassuring them it’s going to work out I will find you a home it’s just a matter of the right home and timing and even though I was reassuring them I knew I was also reassuring myself because what that did it helped me to work harder and it helped me to show them that I wasn’t going to let them down and my goal and my priority was to work with them and to help them in finding what they want, also in being positive it helped them to be positive and eventually we did find the right home for them the best part was we were able to secure it at a much less price than the list price the seller was asking for the property, it’s all about negotiation skills!
What do you think helped you build your reputation within your market?
What has helped me to build my reputation in this Market it’s definitely because I am reliable and and in this business you have to be flexible whether it might be with your time or flexible you’re thinking those things help a lot
