We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Danielle Bertrand . We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Danielle below.
Danielle , thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. How did you come up with the idea for your business?
Girl, It’s Go Time was started because I had hit a wall. The thing that I once loved doing now was a main source of frustration. Not that the job had changed but I was growing. I needed to be doing more. I picked up my pen again and started to finish my book “Girl, It’s Go Time”. I honestly felt like I shouldn’t be writing a book like this because I wasn’t going anywhere. My life was routine and simple. I would live for the weekend and function during the week. Once I finished the book, everything changed. My life was really in Go mode. God told me that He wasn’t holding me hostage to my job but I stayed because I was comfortable with my check. So, I made the move. In 2019, I got married, released the book and moved to Dallas. I knew I wanted to continue to help woman achieve success in business so I became a business coach and helped over 100 female entrepreneurs win in the marketplace. It was very rewarding. At the end of 2021, God repositioned me as The Transition Mentor where now my role is to help women navigate gracefully through transition with biblical and practical principles for success. I know what I do is solving problems and helping women become the solution to problems they are facing. As I empower others, they do the same for those that they have influence with. Girl, It’s Go Time is making a nationwide impact and I am here for it.

Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.
I give women the space to grow, learn and transform. As The Transition Mentor, I create experiences that evoke penthouse level thinking. I don’t allow women to come in my presence with an issue and leave without next steps to move toward solving the problem. I am able to give clarity and strategies to those that are finding themselves moving to new territories in careers, businesses, relationships and locations. Offer mentorship programs along with My T.I.M.E. Empowerment Brunches. These brunches include a diverse group of panelist and a keynote from me to help you move through your transition with grace and clarity. We have hosted a brunch in Dallas and our next city is Charlotte with more cities to come in the future. Women who have attended the brunch have put in two weeks notices and made steps to go full time in business. I also provide business coaching and strategies for female entrepreneurs. I use my degree in small business and entrepreneurship along with my 8 years in the classroom to help women dominate the marketplace.
Where do you think you get most of your clients from?
The best source of new clients for me have been through social media. I started Girl, It’s Go Time in the mist of the pandemic. People were all at home but Facebook groups were very active. As a business coach, there were lots of opportunities to help new business owners get off the ground. I would provide insight and resources online that led my clients to trust my expertise. Since then along with social media in person events are great for me as well. I love making genuine connections and my clients know I truly desire the best for them and then they start referring others as well.

How’d you build such a strong reputation within your market?
I think my consistency is what help build my reputation. While I was still a classroom teacher, I showed up. I would post during my lunch breaks and schedule clients after work. I never ran “Girl, It’ Go Time” like a side hustle. I continued to invest in it and others were able to see it grow. They knew if I cared for my personal brand that I would be just as professional with theirs. When someone would book a session for 5:15, their phone was ringing at 5:15. I valued my clients time and wanted to show that level of respect for them as a person.
