We were lucky to catch up with Danielle Andrews recently and have shared our conversation below.
Danielle, thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today Can you share a customer success story with us?
I think it’s really important to share the success stories of homeowners. There’s so many sensationalize news articles about the market and high interest rates and it can be frightening for people to know if now is a good time to make a purchase. It’s always a great time to purchase. If you rent it, you should buy it. I can share so many examples of times when clients have brought zero dollars to the closing table and some of them even gotten money back. I can be even more proud of my clients who have bought and sold with me where I can witness the crazy amount of equity. They gained over the years and they were able to leverage to move onto the next chapter, which could include using that money to purchase another home, investment property , pay off debt, and so much more. This is significant because it reinforces the power of a “starter home” and getting your foot in the door and how that can impact your future.
Danielle, before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?
Careerwise, I am the Broker/Owner of Realty ONE Group Next Generation in Tallahassee, FL. I opened this franchise office at 28 years old. I am extremely proud of this accomplishment. Our office has grown to 20+ agents in the first year and counting. I have been in real estate for seven years and I love the impact I get to make. I work all areas of real estate: residential, commercial, development, and investment. I am highly skilled in many aspects and also enjoy conducting training and mentorship to our agents to help them grow. I also recently became a Florida Realtors Faculty Member that will allow me to help educate other Realtors throughout Florida. I recently earned my Alabama Broker’s license and am finalizing the process of earning my Georgia Broker’s license. Our brokerage services the Tallahassee metropolitan area and everywhere surrounding within about a 90 minute drive of Tallahassee.
Personally, I am a wife of three years to have any loving and supportive husband. I wouldn’t be the business woman that I am able to be today without him. We also have a two-year-old son who brings me so much joy each day. He’s learning everything so quickly, and I am amazed at all he can do.
We’d love to hear the story of how you turned a side-hustle into a something much bigger.
Yes, Real Estate started out for me as a “side hustle.” I always imagine myself moving up the ranks and education, which is what my academic background is in and has been for years as a middle school, social studies teacher. However, when I relocated to Tallahassee, a light bulb kind of went off in my head, it was definitely God speaking to me. He opened my eyes to show me how much I truly enjoyed Real Estate even. He revealed to me that if you can do that, without putting in any effort, imagine what would happen when you actually maximize your effort & Attention?! So, for about 1.5- two years, I am began to transition from having another full-time job and making real estate my primary income. The lower interest rates and the heightened activity during the Covid – 19 pandemic, did definitely help provide an additional financial cushion to be able to make that transition. But for me, it wasn’t a certain income marker or amount or specific time deadline, But through much prayer , God showed me that it was my time, and that he would always take care of me and my family since he called me to this work.
What do you think helped you build your reputation within your market?
Being authentic, helped me build my relationships. I naturally enjoy networking, forging, new relationships, and meeting people. I am very resourceful and enjoy the process of building connections. It’s who I am. So not only am I naturally good at that, but then my real estate knowledge and expertise, coupled with my ability to curate a seamless process and experience for my clients, allows me to continue to be of service to past clients and be referred to new clients. It is all organic within my sphere of influence, which I constantly work to expand.
