Daniela, thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. Going back to the beginning – how did you come up with the idea in the first place?

Womankind Creative is my act of resistance against the silent narratives I once allowed to define me. As a first-generation immigrant and third-culture kid, not fitting into the ‘mainstream’ mold not only shaped my self-concept but trapped me into shrinking myself for societal validation. When I I chose to break out of the ‘good girl’ ideals and striving to uphold standards that required self-abandonment and self-loathing, in the search for “perfection,” the rage that fueled my dissent wasn’t just personal—it was universal. A collective outcry against the molds women are expected to fit. In starting Womankind Creative, I wanted to challenge the status quo and create something different—a space where younger generations and today’s women wouldn’t have to conform to outdated ideals. A platform where every woman — especially those who’ve been sidelined — finds more than representation; they find a profound and empowering sense of belonging and acceptance. Womankind Creative is a testament to turning societal doubts, narratives, and labels attached to my gender, Latina heritage, or being, into something to celebrate. Through the development of this agency and brand, I’ve learned to have the courage to unhide and show up authentically without shame to be seen. I refuse to posture, put on a façade, or downplay my identity. Womankind Creative gives others permission to proudly do the same.

Daniela, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?

Womankind Creative is a feminist creative agency challenging sexist marketing clichés and monolithic narratives about women in marketing and advertising. Exclusively and unapologetically, creating for the female gaze. We ensure women-focused brands resonate powerfully and genuinely with their audiences, through audacious brand development, photography and video production, social content and advertising.

We’re helping brands ditch ‘brandsplaining’ and create mutually beneficial, genuine brand-consumer relationships that ~thrive~. Toodaloo to gender-bias, tired beauty standards, restrictive “good girl” ideals, and the all-too-common objectification of women.

Womankind Creative is welcoming brands to a new era—their women-positive era.

What am I most proud of? The fact that we are growing a community that is deeply invested in our mission. What we are doing resonates with women because they want a change, they want to be recognized for *all* that they are, including their purchasing power. It’s about damn time marketers and advertisers give these women the r-e-s-p-e-c-t they rightfully deserve.

What do you think helped you build your reputation within your market?

We dare to be an agency with a bold point of view and an audacious mission. Our nastily-good creative is fueled by social impact and challenging dusty “norms.” Our work carries a distinct vibe that sets it apart because of *why* we do what we do at Womankind Creative. What we hear most from our clients and peers is that you can actually feel the spirit of our brand and work.

Any insights you can share with us about how you built up your social media presence?

Our social presence and community is built on bringing value (always) and most importantly unapologetically staying true to our ethos, values and mission to build a woman-positive legacy. We never filter our content to be for everyone, we never intended to be for everyone, instead we curated a community of brands and people that are as daring in their advocacy for women as we are.
