Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Daniela Salgado. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Daniela, thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today What’s been the most meaningful project you’ve worked on?
The most meaningful project I’ve worked on is one I’m still deeply immersed in: a year-long journey of documenting my life, every single day, from the moment I wake up around 4:30 AM to when I finally go to bed, often past midnight. I call it 365 Days in My Life as an artist and CEO. It’s more than just a daily vlog, it’s a personal transformation, a mindset shift, and a mission to inspire others.
Each day, I record, edit, script, and narrate these videos in both Spanish and English. It’s a massive undertaking that demands discipline, consistency, and emotional honesty. But the process has taught me to pay attention to the small details of my life, to reflect deeply on my habits, and to hold myself accountable in ways I never imagined.
This project has changed how I see myself and how I show up in the world. What began as a personal challenge has turned into something that resonates with others. The messages I get from people who say they feel inspired to wake up earlier, chase their dreams, or simply be more mindful, that’s what fuels me. These videos aren’t just content. They’re conversations with people I’ve never met, rooted in the belief that we all have the power to become the best versions of ourselves. Sometimes, all it takes is seeing someone else do the work to believe it’s possible.
Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.
My journey as an artist and entrepreneur is rooted in migration and transformation. I was born in Colombia and moved to the United States at the age of 17, a transition that not only shaped my worldview but also became the foundation for my creative identity. That move wasn’t just a geographic shift; it was emotional, cultural, and spiritual. It forced me to navigate uncertainty, redefine my sense of belonging, and ultimately discover the power of transforming personal experiences into universal stories through art.
I am the artist, founder, and CEO of Daniela De Art3, a creative art business where I merge art, storytelling, and healing. I create original pieces that honor my heritage while exploring themes of identity, inner power, resilience, endurance, self-love, and transformation. My work is deeply personal, often rooted in real struggles, but it is meant to connect, inspire, and elevate others who are walking their path of growth and self-discovery.
Art, for me, is not just a craft; it’s a form of emotional alchemy. It’s how I turn pain into color, fear into form, and silence into powerful expression. Every brushstroke carries a message: that we are not defined by our wounds but by the strength we show in healing them. That beauty and truth can and must coexist.
After earning my Bachelor’s degree in Studio Art from the College of Charleston in 2021, I made the conscious decision to build a brand that didn’t just sell artwork, but created a space for meaningful connection. Whether through original paintings, stationery, art prints, commissions, and motivational content, my goal is always the same: to remind people of their inner power and the beauty that lies in embracing their full story, especially the imperfect, unpolished parts.
What sets Daniela De Art3 apart is the intentionality behind everything I create. My brand isn’t about trends it’s about truth. It’s about creating art that speaks directly to the heart, that inspires people to pause, reflect, and see themselves differently. I also integrate bilingual storytelling (Spanish and English), because language should never be a barrier to connection or healing.
I’m most proud of the community that has grown around this work, the people who’ve shared how my pieces helped them through grief, uncertainty, or moments of self-doubt. I’m proud of staying true to my voice in an industry that often pressures artists to fit a mold. And I’m proud of every piece that’s left my studio and entered someone’s life as a reminder that healing is possible, and beauty is always within reach.
To anyone discovering me for the first time, I want you to know: my work is for you. Whether you’re an art lover, a fellow dreamer, or someone simply trying to find peace in your journey, I see you. My brand exists to reflect your strength, your complexity, and your transformation. I hope that through my art, you find belonging.
What do you think is the goal or mission that drives your creative journey?
My creative journey is rooted in something far greater than myself. Over time, I’ve learned that real impact begins when your purpose expands beyond personal success, when you decide to be a mirror of the change you hope to see in the world. For me, art is not just an expression; it’s a mission to heal, to awaken, and to empower.
Every brushstroke I make carries a story, a moment from my life, whether filled with joy, pain, growth, or stillness. I transform those moments into paintings because I want others to see that even after the darkest storm, the sun always returns. My art is living proof that beauty can be born from struggle, that resilience is quiet but powerful, and that being human is more than enough.
I want people to stand in front of my work and feel something shift inside them, a sense of hope, courage, or simply the permission to breathe. In a world that constantly urges us to chase the next thing, my art is an invitation to pause. To feel. To exist. To remember that this moment right here, right now is a gift.
My mission is to create art that helps people come home to themselves. To remind them that they’re not alone, that they matter, and that today is always the perfect day to start again.
What’s the most rewarding aspect of being a creative in your experience?
The most rewarding part of being an artist is witnessing how something that once lived silently within me, a thought, a feeling, a memory, can suddenly become a source of connection, healing, and light for someone else. There is nothing more humbling or powerful than watching a person stand in front of a piece I’ve created and seeing their eyes light up, tear up, or soften. In that moment, it’s no longer just art, it’s a shared truth. A soul-to-soul conversation that needs no words.
I create from the deepest parts of myself the places that have been wounded, transformed, loved, and tested. To be able to express those truths authentically and without apology, and to have others feel seen or understood through them, is the greatest gift I could ask for. It’s not just about painting; it’s about storytelling. It’s about taking the chaos of emotion and shaping it into something that reminds people: You are not alone. You are allowed to feel. You are allowed to heal.
What fills me with pride is not perfection, but presence, being fully myself in the work, embracing my story in its rawness, and letting love guide the process. Each creation is an act of courage. It’s me saying, “This is who I am, and this is how I love, how I grieve, how I hope.” And somehow, in the most magical way, that vulnerability becomes a bridge between my heart and someone else’s.
The real reward? It’s in the quiet messages I receive from people who say, “This piece helped me get through something,” or “I felt peace for the first time in a while.” It’s knowing that something born from my inner world can inspire someone to reconnect with theirs to take that first step, to cry that needed tear, or to simply believe again.
That, to me, is the miracle of being a creative: transforming personal truth into collective healing. Turning love into legacy. And helping others find beauty, not just on canvas, but within themselves.
