We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Daniela B. Reyna. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Daniela below.
Daniela, thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. Are you happy as a creative professional? Do you sometimes wonder what it would be like to work for someone else?
Pursuing a creative career is something I knew was part of my path since I was little.
I remember being about 8 or 9 years old and carrying around a journal filled with my drawings. By the time I was 10 or 11, I thought I wanted to be a fashion designer, so I started another journal to store all my ideas for outfits. I also loved writing—about everything. I wrote about the boys I liked, the existential dilemmas I was grappling with, and all the thoughts and feelings I didn’t quite know how to say out loud.
As children, we tend to the things we love just for the sake of doing them.
It wasn’t until I was about 12 or 13 that I remember people starting to ask that question—the one we creatives often dread: “What do you want to be when you grow up?”
That’s when it hit me that someday, I would “have to” make a choice about how to make a living. And I knew, deep down, that whatever I chose, it had to be something I loved.
Since then, I’ve been running little life experiments—exploring ways to combine my creativity, my love of learning, and my passion for writing into my life’s work.
So to answer your question: Yes, there are days when I wonder what it would be like to just have a regular job and follow a path that has been traveled many times before. But then I remember that little girl with all her journals, her dreams, and her appetite for life, and I go back to the drawing board to design our next experiment.

Daniela, before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?
Hi there, thank you for this opportunity to share my story ✺
My name is Dani and I am the founder of Una Idealista – an online space where I explore and share the philosophy of Conscious Productivity.
My work centers around helping creative entrepreneurs and organizations design human-centered systems that prioritize kindness, sustainability, and meaningful work.
My journey into this calling began with a deep curiosity about the intersection between creativity, mindfulness and productivity.
As a child, I was always writing, drawing, and dreaming. Those early passions stayed with me as I grew older and sought ways to integrate them into something larger—a way of living and working that feels in coherence with who I am.
Over the years, I’ve designed a practice that combines insights from positive psychology, project management, and timeless philosophies of work and rest. Through personalized mentorships, workshops, and collaborative projects, I help my clients transform their relationship with productivity and create purpose-driven projects and systems to support their Life’s work.
What sets me apart is my approach: Love, Coherence and Magic are the essences embedded into everything I do. I work closely with clients to co-create systems that reflect their values and unique rhythms. Whether it’s through a one-on-one mentorship or a team workshop, my goal is to help people embrace a slower, more intentional approach to productivity—one that supports both their personal growth and professional goals.
One of my proudest moments came during the Latina Wellness Summit 2024 in Miami, Florida, where I gave a talk to over 100 people and facilitated an interactive mindfulness installation. Seeing participants moved to tears and hearing how the experience helped them reconnect with their creativity and inner voice filled me with so much gratitude.
If there’s one thing I want people to know about my work, it’s that productivity can be about so much more than checking items off a to-do list. It can be a way to honor yourself, nurture your creativity, and design a life that feels deeply meaningful. That’s the heart of Una Idealista and the essence of what I hope to inspire in others.

Any insights you can share with us about how you built up your social media presence?
Una Idealista began as a passion project—a space where I could share my thoughts, learnings, and insights as I navigated the journey of figuring out how to make a living doing something I love.
At first, my content was very broad. I talked about personal development through the lens of psychology while finishing my B.A. in psychology. Later, I explored holistic nutrition as I learned how food affects my body. At one point, I even shared my mandala drawings, simply because that’s what was on my mind at the time.
My community grew to about 7,000 beautiful souls, and I cherished the feedback and daily interactions with people from all over the world.
However, it wasn’t until I gained clarity about what I truly wanted to teach and share—Conscious Productivity—that I began to see exponential growth. Suddenly, I was reaching people who were genuinely interested in the topic, and they started asking me to create services to support them.
I’ll admit, I was initially afraid to specialize in one topic. There are so many things I love, and I worried about narrowing my focus. But I decided to treat it as a little experiment.
One Saturday night, after feeling frustrated from trying every latest trend and taking multiple marketing courses, I decided to share a short video. In it, I talked specifically about creating from a place of love and kindness—a core value of Conscious Productivity. I didn’t post it to go viral or because I was following a strategy. I shared it because I needed to express it, to get it off my chest.
The next morning, I woke up to hundreds of new people joining my community. Within a week, my audience had doubled.
Since then, that’s been my only strategy. If I share something, it’s because it’s deeply important to me. I stay focused on the main messages behind Conscious Productivity and let my heart guide what I post.
The moral of the story: Don’t get distracted trying to do things the way everyone else is doing them. Do them your way. Focus on having a clear message, and share things that truly matter to you. Don’t add more noise—add heart.

What do you think is the goal or mission that drives your creative journey?
YES!
My mission is to improve the way we live, work, and create.
I believe that productivity thrives when it’s nurtured with presence, purpose and practice. Through the philosophy of conscious productivity, I aim to help people design systems that honor their unique rhythms and values—systems that make room for both deep work and meaningful rest.
I’m driven by the idea that productivity doesn’t have to come at the cost of our humanity. Instead, it can be a way to create with purpose, lead with love, and contribute to something greater than ourselves.
