We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Daniel Wheat a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.
Daniel, appreciate you joining us today. Let’s kick things off with talking about how you serve the underserved, because in our view this is one of the most important things the small business community does for society – by serving those who the giant corporations ignore, small business helps create a more inclusive and just world for all of us.
One of the core values of human nature is to look out for their neighbor. I whole heartedly believe in this! If it weren’t for many individuals looking out for me I wouldn’t have the success that I do. I will l continue to give back as much as possible!

Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.
For the readers I’m 37 years old. I was born in Dallas, Tx. I’m a father of 2 amazing teens and a doggy father of 2 amazing fur babies! My wife and family currently reside in Grand Prairie where I went to school and lived my whole life.
Unsatisfied with a technical degree and the wanting to fulfill the creative yearning in my life, I picked Up a camera. Passion grew after a pro bono wedding I covered for a cancer patient. It really shook my core when I provided the images and knew that what I had was extremely powerful.
Fast forward 10 years, many workshops and late night YouTube videos I stand as a bolder and a more determined photographer. Im thankful for my experiences and I know my journey is different from others. I accept that I’m different and I love that I’m thankful I can share this talent with my clients!
What’s worked well for you in terms of a source for new clients?
Google Business tools have boosted my sales this past year significantly. We’ve focused on client reviews and it’s greatly helped!

Any stories or insights that might help us understand how you’ve built such a strong reputation?
I’ve worked closely with several marketing companies. In return I’ve built a strong network of business types and I can sleep a little easier at night knowing that I have the resources to call on when needed!
