We recently connected with Daniel Stanford and have shared our conversation below.
Daniel, thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. Let’s talk legacy – what sort of legacy do you hope to build?
The Legacy I hope to build is generated wealth something I can leave to my great niece who been my motivation helping me to over come many hardships I have endured somewhat over the years. I feel people would say that I was always thinking of something new I was very supportive of others and try to be there for them but my compassionate heart and loyalty can some time be my downfall to certain people I consider friends what I hope to be remembered for is not to necessarily quote Frank Sinatra but to be remembered I did it mine way
Daniel, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
Ever since, I always wanted to start a business after seeing my mom have her sewing business for many years making a great living from it I guess I can say 2018 I really set foot to pursue my goal and dream I have Always enjoyed cigars and started smoking them in 2010 seeing how cigars brought people together and bonding I wanted to see how I can turn some I’d enjoy into a profitable business so I took a week long class given by U of H on how to start and run your own business Travelers Delight Cigars Lounge LLC is the name of my mobile cigar business where I can move around working pop ups birthdays wedding divorce parties etc.and from this start up business I went into starting a cosmetics business name Smokin Vixen Cosmetics where I sell lipgloss lipstick eyelashes and eventually hair bundles problem I would say that I solve for my customers is chosing the right cigar that they maybe able to enjoy or picking the right cigars for there family and friends to enjoy as well or the right shade of lipgloss or lipstick I feel what set me apart is my humbleness and me staying in my own lane of me not necessarily trying to compete with anybody but myself I feel what I’m most proud of is through it all good or bad ups and downs I’m still remaining what I want customers to know about me and brand is I’m one consistent hard worker and that my work been a long time coming
How’d you meet your business partner?
I can recalled I’d met my then girlfriend and model for my SmokinVixen Cosmetics while actually working my pop up at a club lounge her charm and charisma won me over and from then we form a relationship and later on she became my model and spoke person for my products but just like many things sadly we had to part ways cause in most cases everyone is not going to have the same mind set and when you let personal demons that you may be going through or bad judgement influences nothing good ever come from that
Can you talk to us about how your funded your business?
Funding my business was very hard but I had the right mind to keep my day job and even get a secondary stream of income to help pay for the many things such as website product marketing advertising and so on one thing I learn you can never get to comfortable
