We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Daniel Johnson. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Daniel below.
Daniel, thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. What do you think matters most in terms of achieving success?
Consistency.

Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers
Our company, The Salon Chair Guys sell service and repair salon & barber furniture in the Southern California area. We also sell Biodegradable Salon Furniture Cleaners nationally through Amazon and several other industry partners.
Our mission is to educate beauty industry professionals on the Salon and Barber equipment they own or purchase. Assist in repair, maintenance, and/or replacement with quality furniture. Ultimately reducing the amount of Salon and Barber furniture discarded prematurely, with the goal of eliminating them from becoming beauty waste, ending up in landfills, and contributing to our industries environmental impact.
Finally, our Salon Furniture Cleaning Products allow barbers and stylists to clean and protect their furniture without damaging their equipment.
What do you think helped you build your reputation within your market?
Social media has really helped us build our reputation in the industry because our customers and followers get to see almost firsthand the work that we do. We have published repair videos, how-to blog posts, and many other types of content designed to be helpful and informative to our audience.

We’d love to hear your thoughts about selling platforms like Amazon/Etsy vs selling on your own site.
We sell our cleaners primarily on Amazon. For us, it has been a great service because it simplifies the to market process and allows us to sell a quality product to the widest audence. They handle everything from customer service to shipping so we are free to focus on building a business and not 3pl.
The only downside is you do not have complete access to your customer meta data which is quickly becoming more important in business.
