Alright, Daniel thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. Before we get into specifics, let’s talk about success more generally. What do you think it takes to be successful?
Passion. In this day and age passion is what you need to get you where you need to go. Having passion for what you do will always make it a rewarding experience. I am very passionate about my business and my work, so this makes it that much more exciting for me to go to work each day. I am passionate about helping others with their brand identity and this really makes it fun to design and help them grow.
As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your background and context?
In 2018 I opened up Harris Digital Media.. a Marketing, and Design business here in Tempe, Arizona. Our slogan is – Affordable, Unique, Local. Helping Small Businesses and individuals take their brand into the future of media and marketing was my goal from the beginning. I wanted to create a company that takes the boring and plain to new heights. One that would help you and your business stay relevant but bring a unique and exciting flair. A new approach that would combine the old and the new to create what I like to call… Marketing & Media For The Future!
How about pivoting – can you share the story of a time you’ve had to pivot?
The pandemic was a big roadblock for many businesses. Fortunately, my business was already based out of my home office so I did not have a commute issue but the issue of steady work did become a small problem. After a few months, I saw a need for local media help within our community. Because everyone had to stay in, the only way to connect with others was through digital media. I had an opportunity to help many clients with their marketing and online design. I had to manage all of this with individual budgets but it was a way for me to “work with what you have” and really take control of a difficult situation. I used my passion to guide my daily interactions and I came out with new clients, new friends, and can say I helped businesses during the pandemic reach their audience online.
How did you build your audience on social media?
My social media audience consists of past, current, and potential clients. I had to grow this over time as I worked for new clients and businesses but I will say the biggest help was from my family and friends.
