We recently connected with DANIEL AVALOS and have shared our conversation below.
DANIEL, thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today Naming anything – including a business – is so hard. Right? What’s the story behind how you came up with the name of your brand?
The name Two2Guys is a thoughtful reflection of our friendship, two individuals bound by creativity, intention, and a shared vision. The word “Two” honors the authenticity of our friendship, while the “2” introduces a modern, distinctive flair that sets our brand apart. Together, they create a name that is both personal and purposeful.
It signifies more than just our identities; it embodies collaboration, trust, and a mutual commitment to crafting products rooted in purity, beauty, and well-being. Two2Guys is a name that speaks to the essence of our journey where individuality meets harmony, and where passion transforms into purpose.
Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.
We’re Daniel Avalos and Gabriel Noda, the founders of Two2Guys, a lifestyle and wellness brand born from personal transformation, decades of industry experience, and a shared passion for creating safe, elegant products with purpose. Our journey began not in a lab but in real life, through the healing power of scent and the deep connection between self-care, emotional well-being, and nature.
Daniel’s story is rooted in personal healing. Struggling with anxiety and depression, he discovered the calming effect of natural aromas and the simple, meditative art of candle making. What started as a therapeutic outlet became a calling, one rooted in sustainability, mindfulness, and creative expression. Gabriel brought over 30 years of expertise as a Make-up Artist from the beauty industry, having worked with celebrities, fashion magazines, and major productions. His eye for detail, luxury, and aesthetics helped evolve the vision into something truly refined.
Together, we created Two2Guys, a brand built on the belief that wellness should be beautiful, intentional, and kind to both people and the planet.
What We Offer
We craft vegan scented candles, natural body oils, luxury body & hair mists, and other products in small batch wellness products that are:
Made with clean, non-toxic ingredients
Infused with mood-enhancing, carefully curated fragrance notes
Hand-poured and hand-blended with care
Safe for both humans and pets
Our products are designed to create moments of calm, connection, and confidence, whether it’s through the comforting flicker of a candle or the empowering scent of a botanical mist.
What Makes Us Different
1. It will be our candle formulation that we have designed, ” Wearable Candles” for the body, using a unique formulation created by us.
2. Our brand was born from lived experience and genuine healing, not trends.
3. We blend elegance with honesty, never compromising on ingredient quality or sustainability.
4. Every scent tells a story. We handcraft our products as emotional experiences.
Inclusive & Intentional: We celebrate individuality and create products that uplift everyone, regardless of gender or background.
What We’re Most Proud Of
We’re proud to have created a brand that connects with people on a deeper level, offering more than just a product, but a moment of escape, a friendship, a ritual of self-love, and a reminder that natural beauty and inner peace are always within reach.
What We Want You to Know
We’re not a faceless company. We’re two real people with a shared mission: to help you feel seen, supported, and inspired.
Whether you’re lighting one of our candles after a long day, misting on a fresh scent before stepping out, or nourishing your skin with our botanical oil, know that everything we create is made with love, intention, and authenticity.
Welcome to Two2Guys — where wellness meets artistry, and every scent tells a story.
Okay – so how did you figure out the manufacturing part? Did you have prior experience?
When we first started this journey, we had no background in manufacturing, no formal training in candle-making, and very little understanding of what it truly meant to create a product from scratch. What we did have was a deep love for fragrance, a desire for peace of mind, and a vision for clean, sustainable self-care products that felt personal, healing, and safe for both people and the planet.
We began in the most humble way: experimenting in my kitchen, melting wax, mixing essential oils, testing wicks, and learning through trial and error. There were moments of frustration, candles that tunneled, fragrances that didn’t hold, formulas that just didn’t feel right. But with each failure came growth. We became obsessed with the science and the art behind it all, researching ingredients, studying the chemistry of fragrance, and slowly building my knowledge through hands-on experience.
Finding the right vendors was one of the hardest parts of the process. We weren’t willing to compromise: we wanted clean-burning candles made from non-toxic, phthalate-free fragrances and sustainable, cruelty-free ingredients. Many suppliers simply didn’t meet the standards we were setting for ourselves. It took months of vetting, sampling, and asking the hard questions to finally align with partners who shared our values.
Eventually, through patience, persistence, and passion, we perfected our signature formulations. Every candle we now pour is the result of that journey, from inexperience to intention. And every product carries that same commitment: clean ingredients, thoughtful craftsmanship, and a deeper purpose to help others find moments of calm, connection, and beauty in their day.
Any thoughts, advice, or strategies you can share for fostering brand loyalty?
Normally, we keep in touch with our customers by creating an email marketing campaign every month, and acquiring email loyalty when they purchase from us. Also, we mainly use our Instagram platform to create story content and pop up at the mall.
