We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Dani Wieczorek. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Dani below.
Dani, looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. Let’s jump to the end – what do you want to be remembered for?
Radical self-love and acceptance. Society constantly imposes unrealistic expectations, distorting how we perceive ourselves and our worth, turning the simple act of being — fully, freely, and unapologetically — a struggle. Self-love feels like an unattainable luxury. I want to change that narrative and be remembered as someone who helped others reconnect with the beauty and strength within themselves, especially when it comes to loving their bodies.
I hope my work, my words, and my way of living to remind people that their bodies are not battlegrounds, but homes deserving of care, respect, and gratitude. Through art, storytelling, and human connection, I want to create safe spaces and facilitate healthy dialogue, where people can breathe easier, feel seen, and find the courage to celebrate themselves.
Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers.
Over a 16-year tenure, I have served in multiple production roles and led award-winning projects in the entertainment and advertising industries, with the privilege to collaborate and learn from Netflix, Victoria’s Secret, AKQA, A24, Usher, Sony, and YouTube. At the moment, I’m leading the production of “PRESENTE!”, an independent documentary following the journey of Brazilian Black female political and community leaders in their fight for human rights, and developing my first authorial film, “All Eyes On Me”, a filmic love letter to pride and prejudice based on a poem about my experiences as someone with an unusual body.
Born with a genetic mutation, I have found in art the permission to express my existence authentically and have shifted part of my time to dedicate and develop myself as an artist. With a journey rooted in healing and personal evolution, I utilise art to explore personal experiences, turning them into powerful reflections on life and society. Cinema, visual arts and writing are the mediums I’ve chosen, with love as my guiding force.
In my debut last year, I showcased two photoseries in art spaces across the US and Europe — “I Am a Piece of Art”, which celebrates self-love and the beauty of unalike bodies, and “Livre Leve Solta”, which claims the freedom of the female form —, and launched a social movement inspiring people to write more love letters #EscrevoCartasDeAmor.
Through my creations, I aim to contribute to a collective movement of self-expression, self-love, and acceptance, one piece at a time. You can find out more about my work and explorations at dani-wieczorek.com.
Can you tell us the story behind how you met your business partner?
As an independent artist, I work with multiple creative partners on a project-by-project basis. Still, I love the story of how I met Livia Perini Borjaille, my creative partner and director at PRESENTE. I had just moved to Los Angeles and was seeking a freelance film producer to collaborate on a branded project. The first person recommended was unavailable and suggested that I reached out to Livia. I did, we scheduled a chemistry call, and after a few minutes of speaking English, we noticed our accents and found out that we were both from Brazil. I was going through a tough period, and she gave me so much comfort without even knowing me. Our immigrant aspect connected us. That project never happened, and we became Instagram friends.
Almost two years later, we met in person for the first time. She was looking for a production partner to produce her first feature, and I was seeking a project with a cause; it was love at first sight. She had powerful footage, inspiring stories and offered me a seat at the table as her Executive Producer. A few months after that, we were awarded a few grants and fellowships, and our journey together completes 5 years this year. We have been learning a lot and making positive changes, so I am very grateful that our paths crossed.
Is there a particular goal or mission driving your creative journey?
Use my voice and creative expression as an invitation for self-reflection and communal thinking. I want to challenge perceptions, break stereotypes and inspire healthy conversations.
