We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Dani Guevarez. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Dani below.
Hi Dani, thanks for joining us today. Risking taking is a huge part of most people’s story but too often society overlooks those risks and only focuses on where you are today. Can you talk to us about a risk you’ve taken – it could be a big risk or a small one – but walk us through the backstory.
The risk I took was giving Jesus my career.
I took that risk fully in July 2025. I was acting in commercials, stage plays, and film. For years, He had been getting my attention, calling me to step away, but I wasn’t ready to let go.
Eventually, it came to a point where I was no longer satisfied with the grind of auditioning or acting in stories I no longer felt connected to. So, on July 7, 2025, I emailed my agent—whom I had worked with for years—and told her I was ready to hang up the towel and take the risk of giving my career to Jesus.

Dani, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
With over 15 years of experience in storytelling—really, all my life—the transition was easy. The skills and talents I’ve developed over the years were not a waste. God uses them now, but for His Kingdom.
The problem I hope to solve for others is showing them how to use their skills and talents for Him. I’m able to provide people with entertainment that glorifies Him—stories that teach how to build the Kingdom and how to live on this earth in a way that honors Him, while still enjoying entertainment that is God-centered.
I want people to know that my brand is Holy Spirit–led and not of this world.

Have you ever had to pivot?
I kept seeing the word pivot and hearing it over and over, and I knew God was telling me that a shift was coming in what I was doing. I embraced it and moved from acting—telling other people’s stories—to telling the stories He wanted told.
That’s when I created Stepping Down, a novel about a college student who joins a sorority. The story highlights both the physical and spiritual dangers of Greek life. A few years ago, there was a movement where many members of these organizations—including myself—began denouncing and speaking out about their detachment from them. However, God placed it on my heart to write a Christian novel that walks readers through the process and exposes the damage through the character Megan Mahn.

Let’s talk about resilience next – do you have a story you can share with us?
My resilience in acting shaped me. There was a lot of rejection and disappointment, but there was also a great deal of learning. In my 15 years of pursuing something without always knowing the end goal, I saw the ins and outs of the industry and where it has headed.
The auditions that came in helped me see the stories that were lacking in the industry, and the scripts I read and studied taught me storytelling—what makes a good story and what doesn’t. Now, I’m able to use everything I learned during those years to build my business today.
