Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Dan Gregory. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Dan , thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today Do you wish you had started sooner?
I’m conflicted. I think I would be a lot further along if I acted as a child or teenager but real life experience has been extremely helpful for my craft. In that capacity, I’m glad I started later in life. I called myself an actor at 23 but But I didn’t really know what I was doing until I hit about 30. In the last 10 years through proper training and on the job experience, I have the tools and confidence to play any part.

As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?
I’m Dan Gregory. A leading or character film actor. I’m proud to be versatile with both comedy and drama. I love to improv when it’s permitted.
I’m proud to be Notable Alumni from New York Film Academy. I’m proud to have won accolades for acting at Film Festivals such as NJ Horror Con and Film Festival, Golden Door International Film Festival, and Urban Action Showcase to name a few.
I’ve been blessed to work with Matt Rife and Eric Roberts in The Elevator, Dave Sheridan and Felissa Rose in Cult of Blood and Ming Chen and Ernie O’Donnell in What Lives Here.
What’s that’s me apart from most actors is that I also write and produce my own short films that I also star in in order to show different sides of myself and portray various different characters on screen.
I’m honored to have worked with : Narrow Bridge Films, Blake Zawadzki, Loarina Gonzalez, Jayleen S Perez, Jenna Maryn Sierra, Jenna Kildosher, Lance Reha, Larry Rosen, Brazen Giant Ensemble, Troy Burbank, Sean Newman, Sean Feuer, Lyon Mitchell, Greg Garaizar, Jack Andrew Cook, Obba Babatunde, Joe Whelski, Joey Mosca, Robbie Lopez, Katie Walsh, Catherine Parish, Pete Hogan, Jackie Adragna, and Joe Vrola just to name a few great artists.

What’s the most rewarding aspect of being a creative in your experience?
The unknown outcome of your work. Ideally my on screen performances will resonate with other artists and filmmakers and fans so that I’ll be able to book more acting work. The law of attraction, work attracts more work. There’s a very real possibility that any one of the projects that I’ve been involved with become a big hit. At which point, the last of the naysayers will be proven wrong.

We’d love to hear a story of resilience from your journey.
I’ve lost relationships, friendships, and part of my sanity pursuing my dream. I’ve also traded a stable income (a typical 9:00 to 5:00 lifestyle) for a survival job just so I can have the freedom to pursue films and creative work. My success is inevitable. I have unwavering confidence and faith in myself and career decision. The best is yet to come.
