We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Damondray Christle . We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Damondray below.
Hi Damondray , thanks for joining us today. Do you wish you had waited to pursue your creative career or do you wish you had started sooner?
I’m actually glad at the time I started I was just a teenager. Better sooner than later right? When I first started I didn’t know too much about acting but, I knew I could do it. I felt you just needed to be natural. I was in school plays and was doing alot of stuff at my church at the time. Starting later would of had me a late bloomer but, again I’m glad I started when I started because it gave me a desire to learn and want to do more acting it became a passion.

Damondray , before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?
So I’m Damondray Christle from Dallas,Tx. So I got into the industry because I was hanging around my older brother who is also an actor and a film creator as well. I begin to see more and more how things went and immediately desired to do it well act is what I’m referring to. So me being set apart from others I don’t quite look at it like that I just be me unapologetically. I’m just proud of continuing the journey and being consistent and also encouraging people who genuinely desire to act as well because I desire to see others do well. I appreciate the people who check out my work and follow me. I’m glad you dig what I do but, I definitely have more to show y’all so stay tuned.

Is there mission driving your creative journey?
Once I start something I want to complete it. So I’m in the process of finishing up a movie. I was sleep and woke up out of my sleep with the thought of that movie on my mind. The DP of this movie Steven Smith and I came up with the title of the film. I believe God gave me the story and I had never felt so driving to start a film up. It started with just an idea and then to a 3-4 minute short film to a whole feature film with a beautiful cast. So because I started I have to finish it because the story have meaning . You have to trust the process and believe and keep going and I believe that everything will work out while you’re on your journey.
For you, what’s the most rewarding aspect of being a creative?
The most rewarding aspect is you get to create. You get to create stories and be free about what you write. I see freedom in it because it’s your thoughts written down on paper so many people get to watch it and it will relate with somebody around the world. You may possibly be apart of someone healing journey unintentionally but, it’s beautiful because your thoughts healed someone you don’t even know.
