We were lucky to catch up with Damon Rice recently and have shared our conversation below.
Damon, thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today What do you think matters most in terms of achieving success?
What I think it takes to be successful is FAILURE. Most people are afraid to fail which leads them to not start at all. Failure to me provides so much valuable insight into who you are and what your made off. Its easy to give up but extremely hard to push through. Learning from your failures, changing behavior’s, analyzing your strengths and weakness only makes you a better person and leads you down the path of success.

Damon, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
I’m a full time digital marketing content creator based in Baltimore Maryland. I own my own digital marketing and Social Media company Four Eighteen Media Group. A digital media platform designed to equip small business with digital marketing solutions to compete with larger companies. Through photography, video and marketing I provide services that enhance your brand image and social platforms. I started out as a Graphic Designer but my love for Photography came after I discovered Jonathan Mannion. Being engrained in HipHop culture I was always fascinated with CD cover art. Mannion was one of the main photographers shooting my favorite artist albums at the time and his style really caught my eye. How he was able to capture the essence of an artist through photos help me in the development of my own style. I pride myself on providing a comfortable atmosphere to create and let go while also being able to curate your vision and bring it to life.
What do you find most rewarding about being a creative?
I believe the freedom to create your vision in a media of your choice is the most rewarding aspect of photography. Once you push that shutter and capture that photo that moment in time is instantly frozen. You can never get it back. That photo now becomes a memory and is a reminder of that time. It reminds you of how you felt…good, bad, happy, sad etc. Its an instant memory of that time.

What do you think helped you build your reputation within your market?
For me my reputation is built on a growing network and clients of past. A lot of my client work comes from referrals. So my initial interaction and service I provide to clients leads them to recommending me to others because of the experience they had. Provide great service and staying adaptable to the every changing market helps me stay relevant as well.
