We were lucky to catch up with Damien Simmonds recently and have shared our conversation below.
Damien, thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today What’s been the best thing you’ve ever seen (or done yourself) to show a customer that you appreciate them?
One of the best ways we’ve shown customer appreciation was through a Spin-the-Wheel Challenge, where customers could win free items from our collection.
We launched this initiative as a way to give back to our community and create a fun, interactive experience that went beyond just purchasing. Customers who engaged with our brand—whether through a purchase, social media interaction, or by simply being part of our email list—were allowed to spin a digital wheel with various prizes, ranging from exclusive discount codes to completely free apparel. It stood out, because when we spun the wheel and instead of just sending a random selection of items, we reached out, asked about their favorite colors, and fit preferences, and put together a personalized package.
Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.
I wanted to create something bigger than me because I’ve realized on my journey that it’s never just about you. It’s about who God wants you to impact along the way. At the time, the only way I knew how to express myself was through fashion. So I thought—why not combine the two and allow God to control my narrative, The inspiration for my brand came from a song, which is how God and I usually connect and bond. That moment of divine inspiration became the foundation for everything I’ve built.
Now, my brand isn’t just about clothing—it’s about purpose, identity, and connection. I treat my customers with royalty because that’s how God sees all of us. Every piece we create is more than just fabric; it carries a message, a feeling, and a journey. I want people to feel seen, valued, and empowered when they wear my designs, knowing that they are part of something greater than just a brand.
What sets us apart is that we’re not just selling apparel—we’re cultivating an experience, a movement, and a sense of belonging. I want my community to feel deeply involved with the brand, not just as customers, but as family. This is about building relationships and creating a space where people can see their journeys reflected in our designs. Life takes us through many different seasons, challenges, and victories, and I want my brand to be a visual representation of that growth and transformation.
I’m most proud of the fact that this brand isn’t just about me—it’s about us. It’s about the people who resonate with the message, the ones who find inspiration in our story, and those who see themselves in the journey we represent. My goal is to continue developing an experience that goes beyond fashion and connects with people on a deeper level.
At the end of the day, this is bigger than clothing—it’s about faith, purpose, and the community we’re building together.
We’d love to hear about how you keep in touch with clients.
To keep in touch with our clients and foster brand loyalty, we focus on creating a continued customer experience that goes beyond the initial purchase. Our goal is to build long-term relationships with our community by making every interaction meaningful and personal.
One of the ways we do this is by incorporating brand initiatives into the delivery of our products. When customers receive their orders, it’s more than just clothing—it’s an experience. We include accessories and symbolic elements that represent different parts of the journey we all go through in life. Whether it’s a message of encouragement, a design inspired by faith, or an exclusive collectible item, we want every package to feel like a milestone in their personal and spiritual growth.
Beyond the physical product, we stay connected through engaging digital content, social media interactions, and exclusive community events. We encourage customers to share their experiences, styling choices, and personal stories, creating a space where they feel valued and heard. By doing this, we’re not just building a customer base—we’re building a movement.
Our loyalty is to the people who resonate with our brand’s purpose, and in return, we want them to feel that same loyalty from us. We make sure they know they’re not just another order number—they are part of a story, a vision, and a journey that we are walking together.
Can you talk to us about manufacturing? How’d you figure it all out? We’d love to hear the story.
As a new brand owner, I currently manufacture my products through outside sources, but one thing I will never compromise on is quality. From the very beginning, I knew that if I was going to create something meaningful, it had to be crafted with intention—not just in the design, but in the materials, the stitching, the feel, and the overall experience.
When I first started, I didn’t have experience in manufacturing, so I had to learn everything from the ground up. Finding the right vendor was a journey in itself. I researched, sampled, and tested different manufacturers, making sure they aligned with my brand’s vision and standards. I wasn’t just looking for someone who could produce clothing—I wanted a partner who understood the deeper purpose behind what I was building. It was important to me that every piece reflected the excellence, symbolism, and storytelling that my brand represents.
One of the biggest lessons I’ve learned along the way is that manufacturing is more than just production—it’s about relationships. You have to communicate your vision clearly, set expectations, and be hands-on throughout the process. Sampling is key because it ensures that what you’re putting out into the world truly represents the message you want to send. Another major lesson is patience—quality takes time, and rushing the process can lead to compromising what matters most.
While I may not be producing everything in-house yet, I see this as just the beginning. My goal is to continue growing, refining, and eventually expanding my control over the production process to ensure every piece remains a symbol of purpose, faith, and community. For now, I take pride in knowing that every item we release is thoughtfully curated, carefully sourced, and designed to make an impact.
