Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Dallas Jack. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Dallas, appreciate you joining us today. Looking back, what’s an important lesson you learned at a prior job?
One of the most valuable lessons I learned in a prior job came from Stephen Woessner, owner of Predictive ROI, an outstanding podcast marketing agency. He often said, “We only do good business,” and he was willing to stand by that principle—no matter the cost. That meant turning away clients who weren’t operating above board and being transparent about our capabilities, so clients felt they could trust us completely. This unwavering commitment to integrity and honesty showed me that profitability and ethics aren’t mutually exclusive; in fact, they strengthen each other. I carry this lesson forward in my own professional life, prioritizing ethical decision-making and candid communication, even when it might mean passing on certain opportunities. Over time, this approach fosters loyalty, respect, and a reputation for long-term success.
Dallas, before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?
I’m the founder and CEO of Spade Creative. My journey started in music—producing, mixing, and mastering—but over time, I realized my passion extended beyond just audio. I wanted to help artists and entrepreneurs bring their full vision to life, not just sonically, but visually and strategically as well. That’s what led me to build Spade as a full-service creative agency.
At Spade Creative, we specialize in music production, video content, web design, SEO, brand development, and publicity. Everything we do is centered around helping creatives and businesses tell powerful stories and connect with their audiences in meaningful ways. We work with independent artists, small business owners, and thought leaders who are serious about leveling up.
What really sets us apart is how we operate. We run Spade like a startup, with a tight-knit team and a shared vision. We hold high creative standards, but we also lead with empathy and communication, which makes our work both impactful and collaborative.
Ultimately, my goal with Spade is to help people own their narrative. Whether it’s an artist trying to break through or a business looking to define its brand, we’re here to help them be seen, heard, and monetized the right way.
Do you have multiple revenue streams – if so, can you talk to us about those streams and how your developed them?
Absolutely. I look at my business like a stool—the more legs it has underneath it, the stronger it stands. If you’ve only got one leg, it’s easy for the whole thing to collapse. That’s why I’ve built Spade Creative to be intentionally diversified.
Our revenue streams span music production, mixing/mastering, video production, web design, SEO maintenance, branding, and publicity packages. These services operate in overlapping industries but don’t rely on the same exact market cycles—so when one slows down, another may pick up. That multi-channeled approach allows us to grow steadily while also adapting to shifts in demand. It’s helped us stay resilient, nimble, and creatively fulfilled.
We’d love to hear the story of how you turned a side-hustle into a something much bigger.
This business actually started as a side hustle when I was 12 years old—just a kid passionate about making music. Fast forward a few years, and during college I made the decision to go all-in. I was taking 17 credit hours at Belmont University, working a 50-hour-a-week remote day job, and using every other waking minute to record artists and build relationships in the Nashville music scene.
That grind taught me how to manage time, energy, and creative output on a whole new level. With the right strategy and consistent execution, I was able to scale what was once just a passion project into what is now Spade Creative. I’m grateful for every step of that journey. It’s shaped me into the leader I am today and laid the foundation for a business that I believe can really make a lasting impact in the creative space.
