Hi Dallas, thanks for joining us today. Let’s start with a story that highlights an important way in which your brand diverges from the industry standard.

The Lash Lounge is a national brand that elevates “Lashing” to new heights! As a luxury brand, our stylists all go through the same training through our corporate training team regardless of background to ensure that the quality of the work lives up to our patended reputation. All Lashes are customized to each individual guests, and the work is done in such a manner that it protects the integrity of their lashes. The result is a beautiful, individualized look built just for them!

Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.

As a product of a life in corporate America for 12 years I came upon The Lash Lounge as a customer while visiting out of town. I knew immediately after my service that day that this was the opportunity I had been searching for. The market need and growing demand was a no brainer for me and the experience was unrivaled. I welcomed the idea of being a Franchisee and utilizing the resources and guidance a Franchise could support me with to help ensure success.

We often have guests come through our doors that are nervous from a different experience they have had in the past regarding their lashes. To see them smile and tell us how amazing their experience was with their stylist at our salon is a reward in itself! Lashes provide instant gratification. We call the moment we hand them a mirror after their service is done our ‘ a- ha’ moment. We can hear the oos and ahhhhss and know that means we have successfully done our part in making their day better!

We’d love to hear a story of resilience from your journey.

I made the difficult decision to quit my corporate job week 3 after opening in 2021. It was a decision I did not make lightly, but ultimately it was the right one. I knew in order for this business to reach it’s potential it needed my undivided attention. It takes developing your team and it’s key players and really pushing everyone to reach their highest potential. It takes paying attention to even the finest detail so that all of the pieces come together to form the polished, 5 star experience and reputation. It literally means taking your vision and making it become your reality.

This year I was named Franchisee of the Year at our national convention after only having been open 18 months. It is still hard for me to even believe and is the greatest honor of my career thus far. I will tell you I believe firmly that anything is possible and can be built. Resilience and willingness to forge through all of the distractions, detours and inevitable need to evolve are not a luxury, it’s a necessity.

Can you talk to us about how your side-hustle turned into something more.

I am in the process of opening a new salon next month ( September) in Olive Branch! It is much less overwhelming opening the second than it was the first, as everything is new at one time with the first salon. However, it is absolutely twice the workload! I am now having to teach myself and learn how to manage twice the group of people, run one salon and launch a new business at the same time. Days are long and sometimes it all seems like a blur of time, but I know now anything is possible and we make it work!
