We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Dalia Atisha. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Dalia below.
Dalia, thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. We’d love to hear the story of how you went from this being just an idea to making it into something real.
My interest began as early as when I was about 10 years old and loved looking at wedding magazines. I did attend aa number of weddings at a young age as well as being a part of the wedding bridal party of a few (I have 20 aunts and uncles and about 35 first cousins) so we always have something to celebrate. My father was an editor of a community newspaper so I began to work with him when I was 13 years old…
As I got older I started attending his business network meetings and soon I started to help plan some of his events….when I was in high school I also did an internship for a Business Chamber. When I started college I was still working for the Chamber and assisted planning small business community events. During my studies I decided to go to school for interior design as that was my first passion soon after getting my degree in Interior Design and Business Management (while I was planning a wedding and going to school I discovered that I really loved wedding planning).
My local church parish priest (whom is also a friend) made me the weeding coordinating at our church where I would handle wedding rehearsals and ceremonies and from there, I began my wedding planning business and here I am over 20 years later….

What’s been the most effective strategy for growing your clientele?
I feel that the most effective strategy of growing my cliente is with a few different ways: First and foremost is providing them the best service that I can give them. My goal is to over deliver.
Second, I provide them with great service and an industry fair rate
Thirdly, is after providing them with a great experience they spread the word (to their family, friends, colleagues, social media etc.)
Lastly, I do ask them for an online review.

How do you keep in touch with clients and foster brand loyalty?
I keep in touch with my clients after their married by sending them a happy anniversary after their first year of marriage. in addition I have the honor of being able to work with them for their other events and they refer me to their friends and families so I am able to keep in touch with them that way as well.
