Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Daizsa Hardy. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Hi Daizsa, thanks for joining us today. Taking care of customers isn’t just good business – it is often one of the main reasons folks went into business in the first place. So, we’d love to get a conversation going around how to best help clients feel appreciated – maybe you can share something you’ve done or seen someone do that’s been really effective at helping a customer feel valued?
To show my customers I appreciate them I provide Thank You cards after each service along with a nice little hand written note. Personally, I think that goes a long way to show them you not only take your business serious but you want to ensure they have enjoyed the service provided. Most of my clients are booking me for their birthdays so I love providing birthday wishes to them making them feel valued and appreciated. In addition, I post them on my website and socials which I feel nowadays its either or. Larger businesses or brands don’t seem to take the time to acknowledge all those who buy or support them but that’s something I want to strive to continue doing for my business. Every booking is important and valued to me and I want to make sure my clients feel that.

Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.
Sure! Well to start, my name is Daizsa but I go by Dai (pronounced Day) and I started my journey wanting to become a wardrobe stylist back in 2016. My first step was just creating an instagram account that was solely for styling purposes via virtual styling and real life. I was heavily creating virtual styles to post as content until I would start styling friends and family to showcase real life styling options. In addition, I would come up with photoshoots and reach out to a photographer in my city who could take the pictures for me so I could post more quality content. Fast forwarding to now I unfortunately had to start from scratch again as my instagram had got deleted. I have no idea to this day how but instagram deleted my account and I started over March 2022. That happening literally was devastating for me as I felt I was getting in the groove of what I was posting and being intentional. But I just had to get over it and do what needed to be done. Im no where near my goal of my new account but what I can say is I’m still VERY intentional about what I post and I strive to post quality content. Ive branched from virtual styles to now outfit styling reels, behind the scenes footage from client shoots and posting daily outfit inspiration. I envision my account to showcase many things such as my clients , my personal style and eye catching videos all while looking aesthetically pleasing to the eye. I offer three different packages for my customers which I feel should meet their needs. The first being straight to the point of personal styling, second being personal shopping and last one being event styling. All packages are thoroughly explained on my website www.instylebydai.net for each potential client to check out. Pursuing wardrobe styling has given me the opportunity to help those in need when it comes to putting clothes together. To some it maybe an easy task but others may struggle with actually finding what their personal style is, how to utilize clothing they may already have at home or just wanting to step out of their comfort zone and that’s where I step in. I would like potential clients to know that I am very hands on and strive to make the styling experience easy, fun and exciting as possible. I urge all potential clients to read the testimonial page on my website where all my previous clients leave their feedback. The testimonial page is what I’m most proud of because these are raw and true statements made by people who spent their hard earned money booking me and they have all been satisfied with their service. Before closing out each experience I make sure the client feels confident in their styling choice as that amongst other things impact their potential review. I make sure to ask questions and leave room for them to express how they feel as the styling experience is heavily weighted with emotion. Meaning if the client doesn’t like or feel confident in the look chosen then that will portray on camera at their event or shoot. Additionally, that can leave the client feeling like they didn’t spend their money wisely etc which I don’t want for any customer of mine. Open discussion is very important to me when orchestrating through the styling experience.
What’s worked well for you in terms of a source for new clients?
Word of mouth. I have received new clients who are friends of previous clients and they have told their family and friends and it’s like a repeating cycle. I enjoy this because the new clients are coming to me already feeling confident and excited for their styling experience as they have personal insight from a close friend or family member.

How do you keep in touch with clients and foster brand loyalty?
Through social media I follow all my clients and we keep in touch that way. They know they can reach out to me via email or cell when needing to book another session or just want to see the type of content I post daily.
