I took a leap of faith to pursue my passion for modeling, fully aware of the life-altering decision it would be. Despite always having a love for fashion and modeling, I never had the time to truly dedicate myself to it. However, I made the bold choice to leave my full-time job, knowing the sacrifices I would have to make to pursue a career in modeling. With the unwavering support of my family and friends, I can confidently say that it was the best decision I have ever made. I cherish every moment I spend in front of the camera, as it uplifts my spirit and brings me immense joy. Although I wish I had pursued my passion earlier, I firmly believe that it is never too late to follow your dreams.
Taking a leap of faith in my creative journey, I fearlessly ventured into the world of modeling, fully aware of the risks involved. Driven by an insatiable desire to bring my own creative vision to life, I set out to establish a brand that perfectly aligned with my core values. The longing for unrestricted freedom to design and innovate fueled my determination, while also igniting a genuine and profound connection with my potential clientele. Embracing my innate creativity, I strive to be truly unique in all that I do.
After months of careful contemplation and thorough research, I made the courageous choice to leave my stable nursing job and join SLEEK Models LA, a modeling agency. I knew that being part of an agency would increase my chances of success in the industry and also provide valuable experience for starting my own fashion label. Although the fashion industry is known for its competitiveness and unpredictability, I had unwavering belief in my talent, passion, and unique perspective that I could bring to the table.
While modeling may seem glamorous and exciting, it requires immense dedication, hard work, and resilience. Models face fierce competition, long hours, and the constant pressure to maintain their physical appearance. However, for those who are truly passionate and committed, modeling offers opportunities for self-expression, creativity, and collaboration with talented individuals in the fashion and beauty world.
I vividly remember the nerves I felt during my first photoshoot, stepping into a room filled with photographers, stylists, and fellow models. I worried about meeting their expectations and performing well in front of the camera. However, I knew that I had to push through and give it my all. I reminded myself of my deep passion for fashion and modeling, and how much I had always dreamed of being part of this industry. I understood that taking risks and stepping out of my comfort zone were essential for personal growth and success.
During those early days, I relied heavily on the guidance and support of the professionals around me. They helped me with posing, provided feedback on my expressions, and offered valuable advice on how to improve. Their encouragement and belief in my potential boosted my confidence and alleviated some of my anxieties.
As time went on and I gained more experience, my nerves began to subside. I learned to embrace the camera and use it as a tool for creative self-expression. I discovered my own unique style and developed a sense of comfort and confidence in front of the lens.
Reflecting on those initial moments of nervousness, I am grateful for the journey I have embarked on. The nerves I felt were a testament to my passion and dedication to modeling. They pushed me to work harder, learn from my mistakes, and continuously strive for improvement.
Becoming a model and embarking on the journey to start my own fashion label marked a significant turning point in my creative journey. I Certainly! My name is Daisy De Dios color best describes my everyday mood. I am a passionate entrepreneur in the fashion and beauty industry. I have always had a deep love for fashion and beauty since I was young, and over the years, I have cultivated my skills and knowledge in these areas.
I started my journey in the medical field, where I gained valuable experience and expertise in wellness. However, my true passion for fashion and beauty led me to take a risk and pursue my dream in this industry. I knew that I had to take initiative and put myself out there if I wanted to make a difference and follow my true calling.
Currently, I am a freelance model and creative Director for SLEEK Models Los Angeles. I am in the process of launching my own clothing line, which is inspired by the 90’s retro trendy look. My brand designs will be distinctive, creative, and detailed, incorporating graphic elements and attractive colors. My mission with this clothing line is to empower authenticity, diversity, and creativity while reviving the 90’s trend.
Through my work, I aim to solve the problem of limited options in the fashion industry by providing unique and trendy clothing that appeals to a wide range of individuals. I want to offer a fashion line that allows people to express their true selves and embrace their individuality. By incorporating elements of the 90’s trend, I hope to bring a sense of nostalgia and excitement to my clients.

My Brand designs will be distinctive and a fashion for all seasons. It will be a Very Creative, Unique and Detailed Fashion line that will also include some graphic and attractive colors. My mission with this clothing line is to empower authenticity diversity and creativity that will revive the 90’s trend. My ultimate goal is to become a fashion designer and create a fashion identity in which will help people feel confident about themselves and present their individuality. Fashion and Beauty has always been one of my biggest passions so developing my skills in fashion and personal style is vital in order for me to achieve my dream goal. Looking back, are there any resources you wish you knew about earlier in your creative journey?
Yes, there are definitely resources that I wish I had known about earlier in my creative journey in the fashion industry. One of the most valuable resources I discovered later on was the power of networking and building connections within the industry.
Early on, I was solely focused on honing my design skills and creating my own unique style. While this is important, I underestimated the power of networking and the opportunities it can bring. Building relationships with other designers, industry professionals, and mentors can open doors to collaborations, mentorship, and exposure to new opportunities.
I wish I had known the importance of attending fashion events, industry conferences, and workshops where I could meet like-minded individuals and learn from experienced professionals. These events provide a platform for networking, gaining insights, and staying updated on the latest trends and developments in the industry.
Additionally, I wish I had known about online platforms and communities specifically tailored for fashion professionals. These platforms offer a wealth of resources, such as forums for discussions, job listings, and educational resources. They provide a space to connect with others in the industry, seek advice, and share experiences.
Furthermore, I wish I had explored more educational resources and courses earlier in my journey.
