Daisy , looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. Can you talk to us about a risk you’ve taken – walk us through the story?

First and foremost, I would like to express my gratitude for this wonderful opportunity. Being featured in this way signifies that I am on the right path, and I am truly humbled. Thank you so much.

One risk that I took, which I will forever be thankful for, was relocating from Valdosta, Georgia, a rural area, to the bustling city of Atlanta. This move has been a tremendous learning experience for me.

Growing up in the countryside and transitioning to city life presented a significant learning curve. I had to step up and face the challenges head-on. Adjusting to all the changes molded me into a proactive woman who stays constantly engaged. It’s truly a competitive world out here. I appreciate challenges that stimulate my mental, spiritual, emotional, and, most importantly, financial growth. I now feel more self-assured than ever before.

When I lived in the South, I was quite shy and reserved. Don’t get me wrong, the hospitality and love in that region are remarkable, but the slow pace of life didn’t align with my ambitions and what I knew I could achieve. Many who knew me back then would be surprised to see the person I have become. I remain a curious woman to this day, always analyzing even the smallest details.

Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.

Allow me to share a bit about myself.

I was born in Miami, Florida, and naturally, I have a deep love for the ocean. Among my siblings, I am the second oldest out of six, and currently, I am the only one without children. My husband and I have three dogs whom we consider our beloved fur babies.

During my childhood, between the ages of 7 and 10, I would often watch movies with my mom and sisters. I found myself greatly admiring the individuals who exuded business acumen. Their appearance and confident demeanor, with a briefcase in one hand and a cell phone in the other, fascinated me. Although I was quite young, I aspired to be like them. I remember asking my mom about a particular woman in a movie, and she replied, “She works in business.” That moment stayed with me.

Years later, as I pursued my education, I maintained that business-oriented mindset. I persevered even during moments when giving up seemed tempting. Through my personal journey, I have experienced a wide range of challenges and can genuinely relate to others. I understand the meaning of struggle, disappointment, and even depression. This allows me to empathize deeply with anyone facing similar difficulties.

Effective marketing plays a crucial role! It is a reflection of your dedication to your business.

During my university years, I learned that in the world of business, you may encounter four rejections before achieving a single acceptance.

Reach out to potential customers through email or messages on various platforms, introducing yourself and pitching your business. Although it may take time, you will eventually see positive outcomes. Just remember to exercise patience throughout the process. Surprisingly, you might receive responses from unexpected sources.

It’s important to understand that wealth and recognition do not come overnight. Be prepared to invest time and effort into your business, nurturing it like a flower that grows with love and care.

Stay engaged with people and let your authentic self shine through. Building meaningful connections will contribute to your success.

What else should we know about how you took your side hustle and scaled it up into what it is today?

Make sure to prioritize investing in yourself, not just for the sake of others!

One of the reasons I hold my work dear is because I reflect on the fact that I have helped others make money. This realization has inspired me to believe that I can achieve the same success for myself and learn from it to accomplish even more.

Don’t underestimate the power of writing down your goals on paper. It may sound cliché, but it truly works. By putting your aspirations into words and manifesting them, you are sending a clear message to the universe. It helps solidify your objectives and acts as a roadmap for your journey.

In my own experience, combining my career and business, I can confidently say that I have generated over 100k. It’s a testament to the power of setting tangible goals and working diligently towards them.
