We were lucky to catch up with DaiAundre Minor recently and have shared our conversation below.
DaiAundre, looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. We’d love to hear about a project that you’ve worked on that’s meant a lot to you.
The most meaningful full project i’ve worked on in my music career was probably “Broken Promises”. This is my first studio released album and I say this is the most meaningful because it was a time in my life where I needed to an outlet to release my emotions, what’s on my mind, and the way i feel. I needed a way to articulate it in a form where my audience can understand and relate. “Broken Promises” plays an important part because it opens up many doors for my style to grow and for me to work with other music artist. To put it short the album was basically a love and heartbreak album covering different events and periods throughout my dating life & more.

DaiAundre, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
So for me my upcoming was different but may be similar to others. I never wanted to be a music artists or seen myself doing it because I was always an out the way quiet guy, but what inspired me to pursue it were my friends CryLondon & Mehslug, my favorite artists of all time Juice WRLD & XXXTENTACION and the passing of my late mother. So long i’ve just had built up fuel that needed somewhere to go before I exploded. So back 2020 I said to myself..what if i could make a song and actually put my poetry and storytelling to use. Following a few years later 3 years of doing music so far the biggest challenge for me was avoiding scams, 360 deals, good quality music videos, and promoting the music and having the funds to back it. What set me apart though is that I never really developed and artist ego and was willing to work with almost whomever to get my name out there, mixed and mastered my own vocals, directed and edited my own video but came up in a place called Delaware where music and fashion carried no weight. I’m just proud of myself to have made it this far despite everything i’ve been through and still going despite the results & numbers.

Any stories or insights that might help us understand how you’ve built such a strong reputation?
I feel like i’ve came further than what i was 2 years ago and I say that because consistency is key. There was a period in time while doing music i wasn’t consistent and i seen the results reflect. I’ve seen that my modeling career and content creation career and even my everyday 9-5 has helped me gain most of my traction by spreading the world and even collating with artist and the right producers. You’ll never know when your time is but one thing i can say is that if you put in the work 2-3 times more as much as others with “quality”, you will reach what your yearning for at a faster pace. Visuals, promo and collaborations are key for an upcoming artist, not the amount of songs you have but the quality that entails.

What do you think is the goal or mission that drives your creative journey?
My particular goal or really what’s driving me is my immediate family to be free of any financial burdens. Also i want to have something set for my children once im ready to start my own family and generations to come. Last but not least I’ve always wanted to start my own academy or something recreational and to create my own anime or tv show.
