We recently connected with Dagmara Loftus and have shared our conversation below.
Dagmara, thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today Can you open up about a risk you’ve taken – what it was like taking that risk, why you took the risk and how it turned out?
For me there were 2 different moments that changed the way my career unfolded. In both of these situations I had to take the risk.
The first breakthrough moment for me happened right in the midst of Covid. Unfortunately the Wellness industry has been greatly impacted by the Pandemic and I had lost my job at the Ayurvedic Wellness Center that I worked at that time. The place ended up not making it ( – so sad) and it gave me to push to pursue my dreams and start my own practice. Well it might not be that risky as you look at it but remember that the pandemic is still going on with lots of restrictions, places are opening up and closing again, people are afraid to leave the house…..so yes I did start my private practice in the Pandemic and well it turned out pretty well for me. I am really grateful that I had the courage and also a support system of people believing in me and my mission.
The second moment was a couple of months after opening up my practice. Although I live in California now, I was born and raised in Poland. I have received an offer to partner up in creating a Holistic Planner by a publisher from Poland. A yearly calendar in a form of a planer infused with content about health and wellness. I wasn’t sure if I should go for it as I have never done a creative project like that before and simply had no experience with creating planners. I ended up trusting my intuition and deciding on accepting the partnership. Guess what? It sold out and now we have just released season two and are expecting to release one next year as well plus some additional products!

Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers
My name is Dagmara
I am a Holistic Practitioner and a creative. I am dedicated to empowering healing through energy work, touch and nutrition. My practice combines a couple of modalities such as: nutrition and lifestyle support, energy work and manual lymphatic drainage to arm my clients with curated tools for healthy living. I have created Eat Glow Thrive to provide safe and open space for healing.I help my clients to find tools to elevate their health&wellness through various holistic practices. My private practice is located in Newport Beach, Ca at Kali Wellness. We are a fully non toxic facility! I also see my clients online, since I get to work with people from Europe which is such an amazing experience to be able to serve my clients internationally. My creative work consists of creating health and wellness content for a yearly Planner and other products that we release in my native country – Poland. I love that I get to work with people and also create tools to support their well being at the same time. I have been practicing for over 6 years now and am so lucky to witness amazing changes in my clients lives. There is nothing more fulfilling and gratifying that seeing people get healthier and more radiant! That would be the best perk of my job!
I was born and raised in Poland where my passion for healthy living began at an early age. I grew up eating homemade foods made from scratch by my Grandma, ingesting herbal tinctures when I was sick and learning how to navigate being an intuitive person. When I immigrated to US I decided to switch my career path and go into health and wellness field that has been calling me for a long time. At first I worked for a couple of different businesses learning as much as I can to finally take a leap of faith (During the pandemic ! ) and start my own practice. It’s been such an amazing decision and definitely I’ve learned so much from starting my own business. Sometimes it seams like a rocky path but I wouldn’t change it for anything else.

Any stories or insights that might help us understand how you’ve built such a strong reputation?
Definitely referrals from my current clients. In fact most of my new clients are referred from someone who has experienced working with me. I really care about my clients and the way they feel. My priority is to make them feel seen, safe and taken care of.
What’s a lesson you had to unlearn and what’s the backstory?
I had this negative belief that because I am from a different country my clients will not trust me or take me seriously as a professional. My english is not perfect and I have an accent. It was bothering me for many months and then I finally understood, how wrong I was. It took me quite some time to unlearn this and see that my clients actually admire that I english is my second language and my accent is a part of my brand now. Now I own this part of myself and am proud of it.
