We were lucky to catch up with Dadron Harris recently and have shared our conversation below.
Dadron, thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. So, let’s start with trends – what are some of the largest or more impactful trends you are seeing in the industry?
In recent years, the concept of hybrid ministry has gained significant traction within the church community. Hybrid ministry refers to the integration of both physical and digital elements in the practice of ministry. It recognizes the growing influence of technology and the need to adapt to changing cultural trends to effectively engage with congregants and reach wider audiences.
One of the primary drivers behind the adoption of hybrid ministry is the increasing reliance on digital platforms for communication, connection, and worship. The rapid advancement of technology has made it possible for churches and ministries to leverage various digital tools such as livestreaming, video conferencing, social media, and mobile applications to interact with their members and extend their reach beyond physical gatherings. This digital presence allows churches to connect with individuals who may not be able to attend in-person services due to geographical distance, health concerns, or other limitations.
Hybrid ministry also recognizes the importance of maintaining a physical gathering space and fostering in-person community. While digital platforms provide convenience and accessibility, they cannot fully replace the power of face-to-face interaction, personal relationships, and the shared experience of worshiping together. Therefore, churches and ministries are finding ways to blend both physical and digital elements to create a comprehensive and inclusive ministry model.

Dadron, before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?

Have you ever had to pivot?
I was active and full time in ministry for several years at this point and I continued seeing individuals in need of the same things week after week and I knew something needed to shift… individuals weren’t getting better and God spoke to me saying to “Shift” my mindset and approach. One of the key reasons for this shift is the recognition that religious practices and beliefs can sometimes create barriers and exclusions, limiting the ability to connect with individuals who may not identify with a specific religious tradition or who have been marginalized by religious institutions. Embracing a spiritual mindset opens the doors to a more inclusive approach, inviting people from diverse backgrounds and belief systems to explore and engage with their spirituality.
A spiritual mindset encourages individuals to seek truth and meaning through personal exploration and experience. It emphasizes the importance of inner growth, self-reflection, and developing a deeper understanding of oneself and the world. This shift allows individuals to move beyond rigid dogmas and doctrines and instead focus on building a personal relationship with the divine or the sacred, however they may define it.
In adopting a spiritual approach, people often prioritize concepts such as love, compassion, mindfulness, and interconnectedness. They may engage in practices such as meditation, contemplation, nature immersion, or creative expression to deepen their spiritual connection. This shift towards a more experiential and individualized spirituality allows for greater flexibility and personalization, enabling individuals to find practices and beliefs that resonate with their unique journey.
Another important aspect of the pivot from religious to spiritual mindset is the recognition that spirituality can be found outside of traditional religious structures. It opens the door to exploring diverse spiritual traditions, philosophies, and practices, and drawing wisdom and inspiration from a variety of sources. This inclusiveness promotes dialogue, respect, and understanding among different spiritual paths, fostering a more harmonious and interconnected world.
In terms of helping more people effectively, the shift to a spiritual mindset can be transformative. It allows individuals and communities to connect with others on a deeper level, transcending religious divisions and focusing on shared values and experiences. By embracing spirituality in a broader sense, individuals can reach out to those who may have been disillusioned by rigid religious frameworks or who are seeking a more personal and flexible approach to their spiritual journey.
A spiritual mindset also encourages a focus on service, compassion, and social justice. It motivates individuals to live out their spirituality by actively engaging in acts of kindness, social activism, and community building. This approach recognizes the interconnectedness of all beings and the responsibility to work towards creating a more just and compassionate world.

What do you think helped you build your reputation within your market?
I think it’s been my consistency and compassion to help and listen. Quality and value helps and being transparent and authentic with the people that we serve. I know dependability shows that you can be trusted. I’ve extended that privilege to my clients and members.
