We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Da Floataz. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Da Floataz below.
Da Floataz, looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. What’s been one of the most interesting investments you’ve made – and did you win or lose? (Note, these responses are only intended as entertainment and shouldn’t be construed as investment advice)
The best investment we have made thus far would have to be all the books about the music industry, friendships and the clothing line.
The worst investment we have made would be into other people’s agenda’s that pull energy from our campaign. Throughout the years there have been occasions where we would get sidetracked from our positive trajectory to invest into side projects that lead to wasted time.
As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?
We have been in the music industry for about 8 years providing services to artist and producing music ourselves.
Rappin’ Mitch may be the brains behind the marketing and image of Da Floataz. Along with songwriting and consulting he’s definitely a major key to the group.
Indeux (pronouced Induce) Shabazz adds a melodic mix along with production and songwriting.
Da Floataz, have releeased 2 EP’s and a host of singles that they have future visuals scheduled and Diamond Cloud Tour set for the first Quarter of 2023.
Da Floataz, provide a nice blend of southern hip hop lyrics with modern melodic vibes. The biggest goal for the group is to independently make an impact on the music industry as well as the culture.
We often hear about learning lessons – but just as important is unlearning lessons. Have you ever had to unlearn a lesson?
One of the greatest teachers in the world is Life! Life will happen regardless of what you have or what you prepared for. We learned very early on in the business everybody doesn’t want to see you succeed some people are content with you doing good just not better than them.
We were able to restructure some of our relationships and re-evaluate the value chains we have created. By doing this we were able to weed out the people who may have been in our circle but were bringing us down.
It’s very important to have the right team around you especially in a business where most people are focused on personal gain.
Have any books or other resources had a big impact on you?
