We were lucky to catch up with D3IMOS recently and have shared our conversation below.
D3IMOS, thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. Let’s kick things off with your mission – what is it and what’s the story behind why it’s your mission?
D3IMOS is a rapper, producer, cinematographer and most importantly a Black Queer man. I am deeply committed to helping others form a sense of self, unlearn harmful cultural ideals, and cultivate change, this mission is deeply personal to me.
Growing up, I experienced firsthand the impact of societal norms and expectations that often marginalize and erase the experiences of Black and Queer individuals. It became clear to me that there was a crucial need for spaces where people like me could embrace their identities authentically without fear or judgment.
Through my journey of self-discovery and empowerment, I’ve encountered countless others seeking the same sense of belonging and affirmation. My mission is rooted in the belief that everyone deserves to feel seen, heard, and celebrated for who they are, regardless of societal norms or expectations.
By sharing my story and uplifting the narratives of others, I hope to inspire meaningful change and create a more inclusive and equitable world for future generations. This mission isn’t just a statement—it’s a lifelong commitment to fostering acceptance, understanding, and love.

Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers.
I’m a graduate from the University of North Texas with a Bachelor’s of Arts in Radio, Television, and Film. My journey into the world of entrepreneurship and creative expression has been multifaceted.
Initially, my passion for storytelling led me to pursue a career in the entertainment industry. As a rapper, photographer, and motivational speaker, I found various mediums to convey messages of empowerment, self-love, and authenticity. My brand, “D3IMOS,” serves as a platform for spreading a friendly message of inclusivity and personal growth.
Through my music, photography, and speaking engagements, I aim to inspire individuals to embrace their identities fully and challenge societal norms. I provide not only entertainment but also a sense of community and understanding for those who may feel marginalized or misunderstood.
One aspect that sets me apart is my diverse background and range of talents. I offer a unique perspective and approach to addressing issues of identity, representation, and personal development.
I’m most proud of the connections I’ve been able to foster with my audience. Whether through my music, visual art, or public speaking engagements, I’ve had the privilege of touching lives and sparking meaningful conversations about topics that matter deeply to me.
For potential clients, followers, or fans, I want them to know that my work is not just about entertainment—it’s about empowerment. Whether you’re looking for uplifting music, captivating photography, or motivational insights, my brand is dedicated to spreading positivity and fostering a sense of belonging for all.

What’s been the most effective strategy for growing your clientele?
As a black gay entertainer, there isn’t a one-size-fits-all strategy for growing your clientele, as success can vary depending on factors such as your niche, location, target audience, and personal brand. However, here are some effective strategies that have worked the best for me. Lean in close; I’m about to spill the tea!
Authenticity and Visibility: Being true to yourself and your identity can be a powerful magnet for attracting fans who appreciate your authenticity. Sharing your story, experiences, and talents openly can help you connect with audiences who resonate with your journey.
Leveraging Social Media: Utilize social media platforms like Instagram, Twitter, TikTok, and YouTube to showcase your talents, share behind-the-scenes moments, engage with your audience, and promote upcoming gigs or projects. Consistent and engaging content can help you build a loyal following and attract new fans.
Networking and Collaboration: Networking with other entertainers, event organizers, influencers, and community leaders within the LGBTQ+ and black communities can open doors to new opportunities and collaborations. Building genuine relationships and supporting others in your industry can lead to referrals and broader exposure.
Performance in LGBTQ+ Spaces: Performing at LGBTQ+ events, pride festivals, clubs, and venues can help you reach a targeted audience who appreciates and celebrates diversity. These spaces often provide a supportive environment where you can showcase your talents and connect with potential fans.
Professionalism and Quality: Delivering high-quality performances, maintaining professionalism in your interactions with clients and fans, and continuously honing your craft can help you stand out in a competitive industry. Positive word-of-mouth recommendations from satisfied clients and audience members can significantly contribute to your growth.
Utilizing Online Platforms: Consider leveraging online platforms such as Patreon, OnlyFans, or Twitch to offer exclusive content, live performances, or virtual events to your supporters. These platforms can provide additional revenue streams and help you cultivate a dedicated fanbase.
Community Involvement and Advocacy: Engaging in community events, fundraisers, or advocacy initiatives related to LGBTQ+ rights, racial equality, or other relevant causes can not only help you make a positive impact but also increase your visibility and attract like-minded supporters.
Professional Representation: Working with a talent agent or manager who understands your unique identity and goals can help you navigate the entertainment industry, negotiate contracts, and secure opportunities that align with your brand and values.
Remember that building a successful career as an entertainer takes time, dedication, and perseverance. Stay true to yourself, be proactive in seeking opportunities, and continually strive to grow and evolve as an artist.
