D , looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. When did you first know you wanted to pursue a creative/artistic path professionally?
The moment I knew I wanted to be an artist was when I was 8 years old. It hit me like a ton of bricks when I first heard the unmistakable beats of Juvenile and the Hot Boys. Their music, the swagger, the confidence- they were larger than life. I wanted to be like them when I grew up. I remember standing in front of the mirror, pretending I was on stage, imagining the crowd going wild. It wasn’t just about the fame or the spotlight; it was about the energy and the way their
lyrics seemed to capture everything I was feeling at the time.
As young boy, growing up and seeing artists like them who came from backgrounds that felt similar to mines made me feel and believe it was possible. That moment their music playing loud, I decided I wanted to be a rap superstar. It wasn’t just a dream. To me, it was a calling. The rhythm of their words became the rhythm of my aspirations. I knew then that I wanted to channel my creativity into something that had that same power to inspire.

Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers.
At the core of what I create is amazing music. I’m a triple threat: I make beats, write, and rap. My journey started as a teenager when I wrote my first hit record, “Miss Me Kiss Me,” for the innovative rap group Cold Flamez. We shifted the music scene not only with our sound but also with our style. When fans step into my world, they experience freedom and adventure. My music is all about good vibes, mixing love, fun, and sexy energy. I’ve been through heartbreak and disloyalty, and my art is a form of therapy for those experiences. This summer, I released a single that reflects this energy, which says, “I ain’t worried about my Ex, I’m too sexy, I ain’t worried about my Ex, don’t text me.” That’s the unapologetic, confident vibe I bring to my music, and it’s the energy I want my listeners to feel.

Learning and unlearning are both critical parts of growth – can you share a story of a time when you had to unlearn a lesson?
A big lesson I had to unlearn was keeping to myself. When I first entered the music industry at a young age, I was pretty standoffish. I missed out on several opportunities because I didn’t make the effort to connect with the people around me. Over time, I realized how important it is to be approachable, build relationships, and follow up with others. Being friendly can open doors you might not even realize are there.

What’s the most rewarding aspect of being a creative in your experience?
The most rewarding part of being a music artist is gaining new listeners and creating a world for them to step into. I love when my music resonates so deeply that it makes them feel like they’re experiencing the emotions and stories I’m expressing. It’s all about building that connection, where listeners feel like my journey becomes their own. That’s the real magic for me.
