We were lucky to catch up with D Oberlechner recently and have shared our conversation below.

D, appreciate you joining us today. We’d love to go back in time and hear the story of how you came up with the name of your brand?

Believe it or not the same day I knew I wanted to start my own business that same night I went to bed and it all came to in a dream my designs and what I want it, I think think twice and continued to let my gut and desire to succeed drive me.

OBphotoboothkc’s journey is a testament to passion, perseverance, and the art of preserving memories. Born from a past steeped in the love of a mother’s ceaseless photography, it has blossomed into a business that captures cherished moments for many. My mom’s relentless documentation of our lives ignited my love for photography, and her belief that every moment was worth remembering became the cornerstone for OBphotoboothkc. This business is more than a photo booth service; it’s a high-quality, DSLR-driven experience that captures life’s memories. Despite its growth, the core mission remains: to encapsulate life, just as my mom did. Today, OBphotoboothkc stands as a tribute to the power of photography and the importance of capturing life as it unfolds.

Let’s talk about resilience next – do you have a story you can share with us?

I have a passionate background and one of them is helping others, from my experience at children’s and photography the two just go together. The need to help others and helping others share and save those memories through my business. Obphotoboothkc and I will continue trying to capture that.

What’s a lesson you had to unlearn and what’s the backstory?

Knowing what to charge to maximize your targeted goal and to make sure that you don’t over spend on events you either get hired to or ones you pay to attend. One of my biggest event was our Colombian independence I payed to be a vendor and ended up losing more money than making. That was a big lesson for me when I was first starting.
