D Lisa, thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. We’d love to hear about a time you helped a customer really get an amazing result through their work with you.

I guide people to listen to and follow their dreams, both the kind they have while awake, and also the dreams that they have at night . I call myself a dream doula because that really explains the process. I’ll share two of my client’s success stories.
Bill came to me stuck and frustrated as he wanted to have an impact with a non profit he admired. He and I worked together on raising money for the cause. Over the 12 weeks we worked together he lost his fear around asking for the donations, met some incredible people, and raised over $50,000 for his cause. This happened by meeting people “out of the blue” and other serendipitous occurrences. He now allows the universe to surprise him
Susan felt like her marriage was stale, and she didn’t want a divorce. She longed for a deeper, more connected, meaningful and loving relationship with her husband of over 20 years. While studying the principles, she realized that the forgiveness work was powerful, and she resonated with this: “I forgive absolutely everyone and everything can can possibly need forgiveness, especially myself” She and her husband have reconnected in ways she didn’t expect, and are having a closer, more alive connection as she continues to do the work on herself.

D Lisa, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?

I have always been the person people told their troubles to. Even as a kid! So being a life coach/spiritual teacher suits me perfectly. I work with people in my Dream Builder program and my mystery school, and offer dream sessions one on one with me. Have you had a dream that confuses you? Perhaps a recurring dream or a nightmare? I help you decipher the message. Dreams are our subconscious speaking to us, or perhaps messages from our relatives, guides and angels. It’s important to listen!

My art studio is in Ventura. I hold creativity sessions there. My coaching/Dream Doula practice is located in Ojai, where I hold in person workshops and retreats and host workshops online. In Ojai I meet in person for dream doula sessions if you have a nighttime dream you’d like to get the message from.

What’s been the best source of new clients for you?

New clients come to me through word of mouth, and from my workshops and classes.

What’s a lesson you had to unlearn and what’s the backstory?

At one time I thought it would be “safe” to have a “real job” I learned that working for someone else wasn’t the consistent reliable thing I expected. I managed a Real Estate office for 7 years and one Friday afternoon, I was called in to meet the owners (a clue I didn’t see) and I was fired. I was suddenly a single mom with two kids, and I was scared! I pivoted to attending art school and immersing myself into the artist life with the help of a patron. After four years of art school I went back into selling real estate but my heart was into more creative passions.

Now I make art, and help people live their most meaningful, fulfilling lives. Creativity is my constant companion, and it is yours as well. We are all creating the lives we have minute-by-minute, thought-by-thought.
