Alright, Cymone thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. What was it like going from idea to execution? Can you share some of the backstory and some of the major steps or milestones?
Jumping into the world of taxes and financial solutions felt like a natural next step for me, and honestly, it was a bit of a prize. I already had a connection through Cherina Rowan’s, the owner of One Stop Taxes, who introduced me to the business. That introduction opened the door, and from there, the transition from hairstylist to tax and financial services felt like a huge relief.
What made it even easier was the team I joined at One Stop Taxes. They took me from step A to Z, walking me through every process, providing guidance, and truly supporting me as I learned the ropes. I couldn’t have asked for a better team to start this journey with.
Being able to step into this role will give me not only financial freedom but also the flexibility to be more present in my life and invest in my other businesses. It’s been empowering to know that I can provide, grow, and still show up fully in every area that matters to me.

I’m Cymone Jeans, and my journey started behind the chair as a hairstylist, specializing in celebrity and bridal hair. I loved helping my clients look and feel their best, but over time, I realized I wanted to create more financial freedom for myself while still making an impact. That led me to pivot into the world of taxes and financial services, which felt like a natural next step.
I joined One Stop Taxes, where I was mentored from step A to Z in tax preparation, and helping businesses secure funding and insurance. This allowed me to transition smoothly, combining my people skills with financial expertise to solve real problems for my clients, whether it’s managing taxes, accessing funding, or getting financial guidance.
What sets me apart is my hands-on approach, attention to detail, and commitment to empowering clients. I’m proud of the balance I’ve created: being able to serve my clients in multiple ways, grow my financial knowledge, and invest in my other businesses. I want people to know that I’m not just offering services, I’m providing solutions that create freedom, confidence, and growth.
What’s worked well for you in terms of a source for new clients?
The best source of new clients for me has been a combination of my existing network and the audience I’ve built over time. Having started as a hairstylist, I already had a strong base of clients who trusted me, and many of them referred friends and family as my work grew. That foundation allowed me to expand naturally into financial and tax services because people already knew and trusted me.
Social media has also played a huge role in attracting new clients. By consistently sharing my work, expertise, and insights, I’ve been able to reach a wider audience and showcase the value I provide, whether it’s in hairstyling or financial services. Friends, family, and past clients continue to be a key part of my referral network, which is invaluable. Overall, it’s a mix of trust, visibility, and relationships that has driven the growth of my business.

One moment that really illustrates my resilience came during a particularly challenging time in the economy. I was running a one-woman hairstyling business while raising four kids, and it became clear that I needed to find a way to create more stability and income, not just for myself, but for my family. Pivoting wasn’t easy, but I decided to step into the financial services world, offering tax and business solutions to people who needed guidance during that difficult period.
