Cydney “ArtCY”, looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. When did you first know you wanted to pursue a creative/artistic path professionally?
When I went to a paint and sip 8 year’s ago, I realized i was so relaxed and at peace. I became so focused I never checked my phone, I didn’t eat or drink anything. I was in a meditative state.That’s when I realized this was something I needed to do more of. It was a major part in my journey to self discovery.
Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.
ArtCy is a high vibrational healing brand. I enjoy creating abstract impressionistic art for your sacred spaces. I am very much inspired by colors and textures. I don’t believe in limiting myself in the mediums I use, I believe to stay abundant in creativity sometimes it’s necessary to switch how you create. Sometimes I create couture wearable copper jewelry art, digital art, canvas art, or clothing. What I am most proud of is the journey and showing up authentically to encourage new artist or experienced artist to create for the love not the likes.
For you, what’s the most rewarding aspect of being a creative?
There are many life lessons that come with being an artist. Learning yourself and healing parts of yourself that you didn’t know need healing.
Trusting the Process
Realizing you don’t always see the end result but that doesn’t mean you aren’t on the right track.
Standing out in the crowd and your work resonating with someone.
Also, mistakes happen BUT you can fix it and I will be ok.
Is there a particular goal or mission driving your creative journey?
The goal is to do what I love and share with the world because the world needs healing. The mission is to encourage other artist to keep going, stay consistent and have confidence in yourself. You WILL NOT be a struggling artist. Also, to love and nurture your inner child.
