We recently connected with Crystal Kearney and have shared our conversation below.

Crystal, appreciate you joining us today. So let’s jump to your mission – what’s the backstory behind how you developed the mission that drives your brand?

Being a single mom raising her two sons on the autism spectrum, I want to be the voice for other mothers and parents raising children on the autism spectrum. It can be challenging and hard, because sometimes when we get the diagnosis that our children have autism sometimes we don’t know who to turn to. I want to be their voices I want to bring awareness, so I became an advocate/spokeswoman. That is my goal. That is my mission behind my story to continue the journey of being advocate and spokeswoman for autism for all of the moms and parents around the world you all are not alone I am with you.

Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.

My name is Crystal Kearney I am 34 years old. Living in Alabama, I have 2 amazing autism sons my oldest son is 15 years old his name is Nicholas my youngest son is Jamari he’s 8 years old. I became an Autism Advocate because of my aunt Debra she taught me everything i needed to know, I did my own research as well. I want to personally thank my aunt. I started talking about my personally story on my Facebook, and then Instagram. I felt my story would help people and relate to other people. I’m so proud of my sons they are flourishing into little grown men before my eyes. I’m beyond proud of my sons, they’ve come along way with their Autism. From Speech, Occupational Therapy and ABA.

Any stories or insights that might help us understand how you’ve built such a strong reputation?

Being myself, my children being themselves, showing us, showing the good, the bad, the motivating talks, the peep talks with both of them. Showing the meltdowns talking about IEPs. Just being US as a Family.

Is there something you think non-creatives will struggle to understand about your journey as a creative?

Just be you, you never know who’s watching your story… go for it. Tell your story. Someone is always listening and looking for advice. Someone looking for a new friend, a new bond, build friendships so their children can have someone else to play with. Don’t give up!!! Write everything down if you have to, get on TikTok, or Instagram, reach out to me if you need too.
