We were lucky to catch up with Crystal Bowie recently and have shared our conversation below.
Alright, Crystal thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. What do you think it takes to be successful?
I fell that it takes consistency and determination in yourself to be success and you have to believe in yourself . Even on days when you feel like you cant keep going you have to because it may be the day you catch your big break. I developed my view on this by just getting up and being consistent and trying different things to see what my niche is . Over time I found that doing review and posting content on social media actually makes other days even when I feel personally that i am not where I want to be in life but I keep going.
Crystal , love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?

Looking back, are there any resources you wish you knew about earlier in your creative journey?
Upon reflecting on my creative journey, there are a few key resources that I wish I had known about earlier:
1. Online courses and workshops: Platforms such as Skillshare, Coursera, and MasterClass offer a plethora of courses on various creative topics such as writing, photography, design, and more. These courses not only provide valuable knowledge and skills but also connect you with a community of like-minded individuals.
2. Creative communities: Joining online forums, social media groups, or local creative meetups can provide a supportive network of fellow artists and creators. These communities offer opportunities for collaboration, feedback, and inspiration, which are essential for personal growth and development.
3. Digital tools and software: Utilizing tools like Adobe Creative Suite, Procreate, or Scrivener can significantly enhance the creative process and streamline workflow. Learning to leverage these digital resources can save time and open up new possibilities for experimentation and creativity.
4. Self-help books and resources: Books such as “The War of Art” by Steven Pressfield, “Big Magic” by Elizabeth Gilbert, or “Show Your Work” by Austin Kleon offer valuable insights and guidance on overcoming creative obstacles, finding inspiration, and navigating the creative journey with resilience and authenticity.
Overall, discovering and incorporating these resources earlier in my creative journey would have undoubtedly accelerated my growth, expanded my skill set, and enriched my overall creative experience.
We’d love to hear the story of how you built up your social media audience?
Building an audience on social media is a strategic and gradual process that requires a combination of authenticity, consistency, and engagement. My journey began by defining my target audience and establishing a strong brand identity that resonated with them. I consistently shared valuable content that catered to their interests and needs, while also showcasing my unique voice and perspective.
I leveraged various social media platforms to reach a wider audience, tailoring my content to suit each platform’s specific strengths and audience demographics. By utilizing hashtags, collaborations, and engaging with followers through comments and messages, I fostered a sense of community and connection with my audience.
Consistency was key in building credibility and trust with my followers. I maintained a regular posting schedule and ensured that my content was of high quality, relevant, and engaging. By listening to feedback and analyzing insights, I continuously refined my content strategy to better cater to the interests and preferences of my audience.
Networking and building relationships with influencers and other content creators also played a crucial role in expanding my reach and acquiring new followers. Collaborations and shoutouts helped me tap into their audiences and establish myself as a reputable figure in my niche.
For those just starting to build their social media presence, my advice would be to first define your niche and target audience. Establish a strong brand identity that sets you apart from the competition and resonates with your target audience. Create valuable and engaging content that showcases your expertise and personality, and be consistent in your posting schedule.
Engage with your followers, respond to comments and messages, and foster a sense of community around your brand. Utilize hashtags, collaborations, and networking opportunities to expand your reach and connect with influencers in your industry. Stay up to date with trends and insights, and continuously analyze your performance to optimize your content strategy and grow your audience effectively. Remember, building a social media presence takes time and effort, but with dedication and strategic planning, you can cultivate a loyal and engaged audience.
