We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Crystal Alexis. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Crystal below.
Crystal, thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today Did you always know you wanted to pursue a creative or artistic career? When did you first know?
I fell in love with art when I was a little girl, and it started with the performing arts. I was quite young the first time I watched a ballet performance of “The Nutcracker” on TV, and seeing the way the dancers moved immediately sparked something deep inside my soul. From that moment on, all I wanted to do was recreate that magical spark through my own physical body.
For years afterward, my mom graciously chauffeured me between gymnastics, tap dance, jazz dance, and ballet classes. I studied acting and took singing lessons, picked up a camera to start creating visual art, and even began doodling what I saw around me. My entire childhood revolved around the arts, and it was all I ever imagined I would do with my life.
As an adult, I’d worked in various 9-to-5 fields, but none of them nourished me in a way that added real value to my life. This was an important realization for me because I had thought there was something wrong with me for not fitting into a corporate box, so to speak. I was raised to think that was all there was. One day, I made a scary choice: either keep struggling to fit into society in a way that was suffocating me or listen to myself and start my own business from something I was already doing as a hobby—photography. I quit my corporate job and went on to spend the next 10 years as a professional (award-winning) photographer, specializing mostly in weddings. And that was really just the beginning of my search for a career path as a creative individual. At that time I never dreamed that I would begin studying both quantum and astrophysics to begin merging all of these points together as MY VERY OWN creative career field. But, here we are!
Crystal, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
I’m Crystal Alexis, a Quantum Astronomer and artist who bridges the gaps between quantum science and spirituality. I study the quantum aspects of celestial objects outside Earth’s atmosphere and conduct worldwide research to understand how quantum entanglement affects individuals throughout their various lifetimes. I’ve been honored to have worked with thousands of people all around the world to help them re-access keys to their quantum truths, including the reasons they experience certain patterns in life. It’s been a remarkable journey, and I’m always on a continuous quest to keep learning and sharing.
To be honest, I had done this work in secrecy, away from my friends and family, for years; very few knew that I had been studying and actively working in this groundbreaking field. However, it didn’t remain a secret forever. Word slowly traveled from those with whom I’d been working. Pretty soon, my email was flooded with requests from people reaching out to see how they could collaborate with me. So, I gradually opened up and began sharing my work publicly on my social media channels. This has become my full-time career, merging Quantum Science with everyday life.
Along with always having my head lost in the stars, I’m a full-time mama to two amazing children, and a wife to my best friend that I accidentally fell in love with. I love passing along my nerdy knowledge to them, but it usually goes right over their heads! I’m the only astrogeek in our family, as it turns out, and they put up with it out of love!
What do you think is the goal or mission that drives your creative journey?
Yes, I’m so glad you asked! Years before I started embarking on this journey, I realized that there were many things I had been taught to believe were true about myself and the world, which I no longer believed in. I had a lot of unlearning and relearning to do in life, and I gave myself permission to go on my own lifelong journey to dig into the roots of everything I had been taught to believe and understand about the world. I was on my own quest for expansion and truth, to uncover the mysteries of both the physical and quantum realities, and to reveal the true histories of events that have taken place. I share what I find along the way, and it’s been incredibly mind-opening!
We’d love to hear the story of how you built up your social media audience?
I get this question a lot: ‘How did you grow 29k followers on your socials?’ The truth is, I didn’t set out to build an audience. This all happened around me before I felt prepared to be so open about the work I do. It started when one of my clients made a video about how my work had changed their life and tagged me, bless their soul! That was really all it took; before I knew it, my secret was out, and I was getting flooded with requests. I started recording content to answer questions and share my experiences. Over time, I’ve learned that being authentic, relatable, kind, and engaging are key to success when it comes to social media. Put yourself out there, engage, and get to know your new friends you make along the way. Hashtags are important when you post, in order to reach the right people who will resonate with you. My biggest hurdle has been working through my own insecurities; being open and vulnerable in front of others isn’t an easy thing. There can be a lot of self-imposed pressure to post enough, to say the right things, or to keep up with everything, so I’m still learning that it’s okay to go at my own pace, and what that looks like will be different for everyone.
