Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Cristy Berry. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Hi Cristy , thanks for joining us today. If you had a defining moment that you feel really changed the trajectory of your career, we’d love to hear the story and details.
I have been in Health and Wellness over 20 years and in 2007 I began encountering health issues. I began to seek medical advice and referred to numerous physicians with no direction. They all attempted to treat me with no resolution and I was not getting any better. After years of bouncing from doctor to doctor, test after test and being told that they could not find anything, I was frustrated and felt defeated. I was getting sicker and I just kept being prescribed medication that was not treating me at all, just making me worse. In 2015 I had finally had enough. and decided to take matters into my own hands. I began researching and ordering my own tests. I sought integrative physicians that would listen and provide the help I needed. I was finally diagnosed with mold toxicity illness, PCOS, Insulin Resistance, Graves Disease, Metabolic Syndrome among other things and was seeing some light at the end of the tunnel. Unfortunately during those years, I followed poor advice and made medical decisions that are now irreversible that I will have to live with for the rest of my life. I knew at that point I needed to become an advocate for myself. I began to start my journey of self healing and restoration. I went on to reverse most of my health conditions and have researched, educated and healed myself. I am now a Holistic Practitioner on a mission to help others feel heard and learn how to restore their own health. We have to be open to non conventional ways of healthcare and ones that truly heal the clients, not just slapping a bandaid on them in hopes that something works. I truly want my clients to see the victory in their health like I did. It not only restores them physically, but also emotionally. It brings about so much self confidence and empowerment.

Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers.
I got into health and wellness because I wanted to help myself and my family. I have developed a system for healing, weight loss and empowerment over the past 20 years. My approach is Holistic encompassing mentally, physically and spiritually healing a person. I provide blood lab reviews, nutritional counseling and coaching, Personal training and supplement programs tailored for each individual client needs. I have helped thousands of families regain their health, change their lifestyle and ultimately the trajectory of their future health. I offer food sensitivity testing and DNA testing to evaluate the whole person. I provide a custom approach that allows each client to be heard and work to improve symptoms and heal their body. My programs are and detailed and sustainable. My goal is to find the root cause of the symptoms someone is experiencing and restore their body to optimal health.

If you could go back in time, do you think you would have chosen a different profession or specialty?
Yes I would definitely go back and choose the same profession. I am changing lives every day and that is so rewarding. I started my career to change my life but looking back I have impacted hundreds of clients and thousands of families. My only regret is that I would have done it sooner.
What’s a lesson you had to unlearn and what’s the backstory?
One lesson I had to unlearn is that I was not smart enough because I did not have a lot of fancy letters behind my name. I have found that not only am I very educated in my field, but what sets me apart is that I am doing something that is different and something that is truly changing the lives of my clients. I offer real solutions and not just a scripted response from a journal or book taught in a class. I am looking at a person as a whole being and not just trying to fix part of them temporarily. I think that our society has gotten used to sick care instead of health care. I want to evolve into teaching my clients how to advocate for themselves and not to think that someone else knows their body more than they do.
