We recently connected with Cristina Amigoni and have shared our conversation below.
Cristina, looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. We’d love to have you retell us the story behind how you came up with the idea for your business, I think our audience would really enjoy hearing the backstory.
The idea for our business came up over a period of time and many “happy hour” conversations with past co-workers.
I have worked in management consulting for a long time, while having the common denominator throughout my working life around people development. Learning best practices in processes and consulting solution creation, along side technology creation and implementation, has allowed me to gain key business knowledge across industries.
At the same time, I began noticing common threads and realizing that, regardless of the actual process, tool, service, or solution, people are the ones that make these successful or not. And people are emotional beings who, while unique and most times unpredictable, thrive in humans-centered environments.
My business partner, Alex, and I began to unpack what motivated people to give their best and what drained them and made them unhappy and demotivated. We found two core influencers: leadership and human connections.
We then started brainstorming around what human leadership meant and how to best create and leverage human connections in the workplace. We also found a great lack of human focus in day to day business decisions. A tendency to separate the humans from the business, when, ironically, there is no business without humans.
In the last three years, we found some unique ways to address more traditional solution . A key one around bringing a coaching approach to organizational change management, that guides our clients through finding the right path to successful transformations, rather than just provide a plan and manage to it.
The uniqueness of our approach is the constant examination of the human experience and the focus on creating change agility that can last long past our engagement and involvement.

Cristina, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
I am a strategist, a coach, an advisor, a change maker, a problem solver, and a consultant with a focus on human experience and engagement, connected teams, and organizational coaching. I believe in the power of teams and the continual development of people and organizations.
I am driven to help people connect within their teams, their communities, and their organization. When people connect with who they are, their values and strengths, and connect with others and the companies where they work, teams shine, solutions are found, new ideas take flight, and the magic happens.
I believe that each person has enormous untapped potential, that the true role of leaders and organizations is to foster and celebrate the strengths of each individual. Engaged and empowered individuals working together in a safe, trusting, transparent, and collaborative environment can achieve anything and thrive.
I possess 20+ years of experience in organizational development, coaching and mentoring resources, orchestrating and implementing organizational, technology and process changes, and deep experience in management/business consulting, I help build teams, support organizations go through change, optimize cultures, and find new ways to create connections.
I work with people and organizations on the human experience by uncovering and connecting talent. I evaluate business needs, matching them against team capabilities, and implementing thoughtful solutions to maximize organizational, team, and personal development.
Together we create values-based solution, change agility, team cohesion, coaching leadership, human engagement, and high performing communities.

How about pivoting – can you share the story of a time you’ve had to pivot?
We have pivoted a few times in our business so far. When we first formed our organization we started building a data driven software solution that would analyze people’s digital engagement to help make business and team decisions.
We have both worked in technology for quite a few years and know that the right tool can be crucial to success. Specifically, we believe that data is very powerful when aligned with a strategy and clear methodology for decisions.
We built the solution and then realized that while useful, it did not fully speak to our Why as a company or help us reach our mission and vision as directly as we wanted it to. Therefore, we pivoted. We spent a lot of time unpacking and defining our values, our mission, our vision, and what would give us purpose and meaning in the short and long term.
We are now much clearer and aligned at the moment, while knowing that we will continue to evaluate, reflect, and pivot when needed, because of internal or external reasons.
We’d love to hear the story of how you built up your social media audience?
Almost two years, we started a podcast around authenticity and showing up with our authentic selves in life and work. Uncover the Human is a show for people that want to get the most out of being human. We have conversations with people-centric experts to explore the hidden sides of humanity and unlock our full potential. With an emphasis on connection and the power of “we,” we aim to illuminate the road to authenticity through coaching, candid conversations, and humor.
We started the podcast because we value human connections and meaningful conversations and it turned into a key element of building our audience on social media and finding our ideal clients.
