Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to FalseCris. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
FalseCris, thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today Are you able to earn a full-time living from your creative work? If so, can you walk us through your journey and how you made it happen?
I have been blessed and been able to make a full time living off all my creative work since the beginning of it all. It took a lot of work, trail & error, and consistency. I started it all when I was 16, i started the brand “falsebranding” and from there I stayed dedicated to it, which ended up opening doors for me to get to where I am today. As of today, I own a successful clothing brand, make music, model, and throw shows! I feel like the whole process would’ve been sped up if I knew all the information, I have acquired now but learning it all throughout time is what molded me to who I am today.
Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.
I’m FalseCris, I’m from Miami, FL and I go by the stage name “FalseCris”. I own a clothing brand called “falsebranding”, I make music, model, and throw shows. It all started with my brand being made in 2020, and there throughout time I started meeting new people who ended up opening up new doors for me in many different industries. One specific person who made a major impact on me is my best friend “ohtrapstar” he was a huge successful artist who ended up taking me under his wing and thought me everything I needed to know about the music industry. Ohtrapstar mentored me until his tragic passing on May 25th, 2022, ever since then I have been ambitious towards all work, working every day to make ohtrapstar proud, one of the few who saw something in me, believed in me and guided me. I am very proud to say I have made myself financially stable at an early age while following dream and working towards my goals.
What do you find most rewarding about being a creative?
The most rewarding aspect of being an artist or creative is knowing that you are your own boss & working on your schedule.
We’d love to hear the story of how you built up your social media audience?
I built my social media audience by active & engaging with all my followers and supporters, A piece of advice I would give to build your social media presence is to be confident in what you are posting and make sure it’s the best content you can put out. It may take time to build it all up, but consistency is key to everything.
