Cris, appreciate you joining us today. How did you scale up? What were the strategies, tactics, meaningful moments, twists/turns, obstacles, mistakes along the way? We’d love to hear the backstory the illustrates how you grew your brand.

In the competitive photography industry, standing out can be a challenge. In my experience, the secret lies in capturing my emotions and reflections through my images. While these may not be to everyone’s liking, the most important thing is that they resonate with my own vision and passion. By freeing yourself from worrying about other people’s opinion of your art, you achieve true creative freedom. Personally, I have found that you don’t have to obsess about numbers: likes, followers and statistics are secondary. The essential thing is to stay true to your convictions and feelings.

This approach has led me to collaborate with renowned brands such as Apple, who have recognized the value of photographs captured with an iPhone. This experience reinforces my conviction that it is the photographer’s eyes, and not necessarily the quality of the camera, that truly matters in creating stunning images.

Cris, before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?

Nowadays, I have a solid base of followers on Instagram, although beyond the numbers, what truly fills me with joy is the fact that my work resonates with people. My first steps in the world of photography date back to a decade ago, when I ventured into capturing images with my cell phone. Back then, I lacked the resources to purchase a camera or a computer to edit my photos. The need to replace my old cell phone led me to make a key decision: to invest in a quality device that would allow me to not only capture, but also edit images.

That’s how I began to immerse myself in the art of composing photographs, driven by the passion I felt for this form of visual expression. Although it took me a few years before I was able to acquire my first camera, my innate impatience led me to always use it in automatic mode, without taking the necessary time to master its functions. My real enjoyment lay in composition, until an assignment for a brand forced me to learn to master my camera in a weekend.

The photo editing process became a trial and error adventure, where every correction and adjustment contributed to my learning and evolution. Looking back, I recognize that some of my first images now seem to me little more than experiments, but over time, I have been polishing my technique and training my eye to capture the essence of each moment.

For me, inspiration comes from everywhere, and finding photographers whose work resonates with my own has been fundamental in my artistic development. It’s not just about imitating what others do, but absorbing different perspectives and styles to enrich my own creative vision.

In a world saturated with photographic talent, standing out can be a challenge. However, I firmly believe that my style is distinguished by the emotional depth I infuse into each image. More than just photographs, they are vehicles through which I share my thoughts and feelings, thus connecting with the viewer in a unique and authentic way.

What do you find most rewarding about being a creative?

Exploring the creative world gives me a unique opportunity: the chance to make connections with people who share my interests and passions. Through this community, I have had the privilege of meeting extraordinary people with whom I share affinities and worldviews. This network of creatives not only enriches my personal experience, but also stimulates my professional growth by allowing me to learn from the unique experiences and perspectives of each of them. In short, connecting with like-minded people is one of the most rewarding and enriching aspects of my career in the creative world.

Is there mission driving your creative journey?

The universe of photography fascinates me for its infinite possibility of exploration. There are always new horizons to discover, which fills me with enthusiasm. My constant goal is to surpass myself and experiment with new techniques and approaches, thus promoting my constant evolution in this exciting art.
